Had an absolutely terrible experience with Haven Inn. The customer service from Alice was appalling. My wife and I booked here to stay for our anniversary as we had plans in Hamilton. As we were on our way, we received a call saying our card was "declined" so they gave our room to someone else and they had no more rooms available First of all, why is my card being charged when a) I selected pay upon arrival on *******, and b) we haven't yet arrived for our check-in and c) no chance my card was declined bud Second, we received no phone call to ask us if we still intended on coming. Lastly, we received nothing but rudeness from Alice when she called to tell us that our anniversary plans were ruined due to no fault of our own. If this staff is a representation of the way this business is conducted then this business should be closed permanently. All in all, we will NEVER be booking here again and we will be dissuading every single person we know to book here as well. Had we had a better experience with the attendant who called us we might not have left a review but the public needs to know not to waste their money nor support a business with such terrible employees.

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS!!!! We were there in Oct 2023. In the morning, my daughter had 2 bites (cheek and eye lid) on her face and I assumed they were mosquito bites until we noticed 3 large bed bugs on the headboard later that evening. The hotel denied having bed bugs despite those bugs being large adults (that have obviously been feasting for a while) based on what I was able to research online. They also refused to refund us for the two nights.....AND ACCUSED US OF BRINGING THE BEDBUGS THERE (UNBELIEVABLE ACCUSATION)! Very rude staff from that point on. Facilities are mediocre with cracked toilet that barely flushes and clogged shower drain that led to the shower basin half full after a 10 min shower and 20 mins to drain. Had the hotel staff treated me like any other reasonable hotel chain would, I would not have posted my first trip advisor feedback ever. The lack of ethics was just appalling. Thanks for accusing us of bringing bed bugs to your inn and hanging up on me Ken (manager) during our call, very unprofessional.

What a nightmare place do not stay here! They overbooked and did not have a room for us. The woman at the front was terrible to deal with also. Bunch of rules posted on the walls and like others said no guests actually dodged a bullet by being overbooked.

This is one that I find hard to review, the lady we dealt with is very nice polite and helpful the room was comfortable but found it to be not so clean especially baseboards and tiles, there was no place ( shelves) to put soap, shampoo while in the shower except on the floor. Also Friday night there was an argument outside in parking lot and they choose to argue right by our room and would not move no matter how much we pleaded, I no this is not totally management problems but this is all about our problems at this motel. I hate to write these negative reviews but I feel this needs to be said

Very bad they had denied card never told me till I got there when it's suppose be pay when arrive and back of chair a freaky face with blood and 2 plugs outlets no cover and back on bed bottom a rat trap on wall and no clean stuff for 3 nights and have rules no visitors and told me chase 2 people out of my room when they want me show a outfit on and drop me off and then she chat with few outside and I put 2 guest on my room too

The hotel was easy to find via GPS. This is an older motel but kept very clean and rooms are cozy. The check in was super easy and the clerk was very friendly and kind to share information of the area. If you are looking for an inexpensive simple clean place to lay your head this is it. I would definitely stay here again.

Disgraceful. The worst service I have ever experienced. Bed bugs. message me for proof. No mobile internet. Not one time during the three months could I use my phone online. The tv was broken for months. But the arrogance and meanness of these people is just too hard to take. Appalling. Keep away from the Haven Inn. The worst motel experience of my life.
