Had an absolutely terrible experience with Haven Inn. The customer service from Alice was appalling. My wife and I booked here to stay for our anniversary as we had plans in Hamilton. As we were on our way, we received a call saying our card was "declined" so they gave our room to someone else and they had no more rooms available First of all, why is my card being charged when a) I selected pay upon arrival on *******, and b) we haven't yet arrived for our check-in and c) no chance my card was declined bud Second, we received no phone call to ask us if we still intended on coming. Lastly, we received nothing but rudeness from Alice when she called to tell us that our anniversary plans were ruined due to no fault of our own. If this staff is a representation of the way this business is conducted then this business should be closed permanently. All in all, we will NEVER be booking here again and we will be dissuading every single person we know to book here as well. Had we had a better experience with the attendant who called us we might not have left a review but the public needs to know not to waste their money nor support a business with such terrible employees.
