We had a wonderful stay at Grampians Chalets. Despite there being accommodation all up and down the main street, this still felt very private, quiet and intimate, we had a view of a small dam with ducks, cockatoos, magpies and kangaroos to entertain us. The spa bath was lovely and comfortable, great shower, comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed. The host, Peter, was knowledgeable and friendly with a good sense of humour. He also allowed us to charge our EV from external power overnight. Would happily stay again.

Es braucht unbedingt schönes Wetter, wenn man das Hiersein geniessen will. Das kann einem niemand garantieren, und dieses Mal hatten wir Pech - es hat heftig geregnet und war viel zu kühl für Anfang Februar. Das Motel ist schon etwas älter, wohl aus den 1960ern. Das spürt man deutlich – vieles ist in die Jahre gekommen. Auch im Standardzimmer ist aber alles vorhanden, was man hier braucht: Kühlschrank, Kaffeekocher, Toaster, TV, WLan und Klimaanlage funktionieren. Zimmer und Bad sind recht gross und sauber, der Room-Service klappt. Es gibt einen kleinen, netten Pool mit Kinderspielplatz. Die Besitzer bemühen sich offensichtlich, die Anlage in Schuss zu halten, aber die wirklich grosse Investition lässt sich hier wohl kaum finanzieren. Dafür sind die Preise anständig: Wir zahlen 426 AU$ für drei Nächte. Vor dem Zimmer spazieren Kängurus, Kakadus und Hirsche vorbei, und im Hauptgebäude gibt es ein Restaurant, wo mit Können und Freude gute Mahlzeiten angeboten werden. Alles in Allem: Wenn man in den Grampians National Park möchte (was sich wirklich lohnt!), ist dieses Motel eine akzeptable Wahl.

No longer a Comfort Inn Motel - now a member of the Golden Chain Group. Managers and staff very pleasant. The Restaurant is not open for dinner except for group bookings. However Restaurant is open for breakfast. Motel has 50 plus rooms serviced daily. Picnic area is available in the courtyard. Pleasant outlook onto the mountain ranges. TV reception very poor due to the mountains.
