The Inn at Tomichi Village

I unfortunately looked at thir website and decided to stay based upon it. The website does NOT reflect the current state of the hotel. The rooms are tired and musty smelling. Our bed has a U shape. Our backs hurt in the morning from using these worn out beds. They do have spacious ground which is nice for parking. They do have a fire pit area and BBQ area but the mosquitos are so bad we did not use them. We stayed 3 nights. We were going to leave after 2 nights but due to activities we had planned it made the very hard so we stayed. Stay are one of the newer hotels in Gunnison. If you do stay, do not park under any of the pine trees around the grass area in the middle or you will be cleaning sap off your car hood.

Stay here! This place had nice, spacious, clean rooms. Laundry service, pool and hot tub. They had a grassy area with games and a nice paved area with a fire pit and all you needed to start a fire. The fire pit was surrounded by nice rocking chairs. The breakfast was awesome. Very fresh and delicious! This was the most accommodating place we stayed all week in Colorado. They’ve thought of all the details! Although we were only passing through for one night, we could have spent multiple nights here, it was the best night of our 10 day roadtrip!

One wonders whether all of the enthusiastic reviews on this site are bona fide. Pay close attention to those that are critical. They reflect what we have to say about this place. Here it is in point form: First, they may call themselves what they wish. The term "Inn" suggests that this lodging is quaint. It is not; in fact, it is a badly run-down motel. And that is exactly the appearance one encounters. Every room sits astride the parking lot. Second, the specifics of run-down: the carpet on the floor in the room is awful, the room smells bad and the furniture is in deplorable condition. Granted, the mattress was alright and the bathroom well renovated. Otherwise the room was unpleasant. Third, the breakfast was of the lowest quality, with the cheapest possible foodstuffs. Ironically, if the items available were of higher quality, there would be enough to make the breakfast respectable even given the very limited fare. Fourth, the lobby is locked at night. Anything that arises must be considered an emergency. The lobby itself is unprepossessing. Finally, the only saving grace is Leticia, who works both at reception and in the dining area. She is warm, friendly and sunny even on a cold overcast day.

They have a very nice website…… but don’t believe a word of it. The pictures make everything look so nice…. It isn’t. Out-dated, one person trying to do office, maintenance, everything. She was very nice, but not even in the office for check-in & check-out. Website says Caribou coffee & Twinings tea in room. Nope. More like a place for hunters & fishermen. Very small area for lobby & breakfast & very few breakfast offerings. Very disappointing. Ugh.

No idea why the amazing reviews. Our room was old and not clean. The bathroom had mold in the shower and hair and dirt on the toilet and baseboard. See pics. The staff was nice, The desk in the room was so tight to the bed that you could almost not pull out the chair. We ended up on the second floor and had to lug our bags up an outside staircase. The roll away bed we requested in advance was not in our room and we had to wait for the one staff member to get it for us. The room was so small that we had to put the roll away in front of the door. I try to always leave fair reviews because I depend on them myself in choosing a business. This is an honest straight forward report on how we found it. I frankly would not book here again.

A nice experience largely due to Leticia, the front desk manager. She was good natured and efficient while managing multiple roles. The room was comfortable with exception of loud AC. A nice grass area for lounging in rocking chairs or sitting by fire at night. Also had a very decent breakfast to begin our day. We liked the traditional western motel vibe.

This hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff go out of their way to provide what you need. Their breakfast is a complete full breakfast. Plenty of seats, inside and out. We would definitely stay here again. Didn't use pool or hot tub, but it was available.

We spent two nights here. The grounds are nice and it’s maybe 100 yards off Highway 50 so pretty quiet. The breakfast is good and the staff are nice. But the rooms are dated and we could hear guests upstairs. The bed was soft and not particularly comfortable. I would look elsewhere before staying here again as it’s not that good of a value.

This warm hearted Inn was exactly what we needed for road weary family. The staff was beyond friendly and informative and the rooms were very clean and Xtra large!! The pool and spa were heated and the pool room also jas bathrooms which was very convenient
