Inn on the Square, Ascend Hotel Collection

Spacious, well-appointed, spotless room with extremely comfortable bed (the pillows could be more comfortable). The bathroom was a good size and the shower had good pressure. Friendly bar staff in a pretty spartan bar (11 large TVs, though). Had the fish and chips…wonderfully- prepared. Very helpful, friendly front desk personnel.

Pleasant little place recently spruced up. Features a bar (Tue-Sat) & a restaurant (Wed-Sat.) Breakfast available (though not included) is real, not just a sad steam table. Came here though to praise….drumroll…the towels. Bath sheets are giant & super fluffy. Bad day? Just take a shower then immerse yourself in these giant absorbent cuddles of cloth. Truly first class.

The worst service ever. We were there for an hour before even asked if we wanted a drink which then took forever. We had to go up to the bar to ask for our drinks l. Same for when we wanted to leave we had to beg for our bill and for the to take it back. Not impressed at all.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the television was huge. The downside is the tub is extremely slippery and handlebars should be installed for safety. The door jambs throughout the hotel need to be wiped clean as well. The coffee in the main lobby was good.

Stopped here on our way to the Masters. Enjoyable stay. Room was quiet, bed comfortable. Dinner in their dining room very good. Will stay again next year. Not much to the downtown area so the Inn is pretty much it. Parking was good. All the staff was friendly.

We have stayed at this property many times. When we arrived a little after noon to check in, we were told our room was available but there would be an "early check in fee of $20" or we could come back at 2:30. We declined the "offer" and came back at 2:30. We have never had this experience before and were quite put off by it. Later during our stay, we overheard another guest trying to check in early with a different associate and was told he could check in early. A "fee" wasn't mentioned. Beware.

Everything was amazing!! The newly renovated rooms look so nice!! Check in was super easy!! After our wedding reception we returned to the Inn on the Square and realized that we had left our room key at our venue. The front desk was very helpful at making us a new key.

Made reservations for 3 couples for dinner. Arrived on time and there was no one at the podium or front desk of the hotel to seat us. FINALLY got seated and was advised that there were two birthday parties going on and they were understaffed. The waitress brought us menus and asked us for our drinks order. Half an hour later she came to get our appetizer order. She said that their bisque was a special with large chunks of meat. Two couples ordered 2 to share. The bisque was meaty however lacked flavor and thickness. One of the dinner specials was Grilled Mahi. We placed our dinner orders and after an hour and a half of being seated finally got our entrees. The grilled Mahi was gray and had been baked. The broccoli was warm and i believe barely cooked and hard as raw. Besides being noisy due to the adjoining party. Lack of service and terrible food this place had nothing going for it. Don't waste your time!!

Accommodations were fine for short stay in town. Something different from the chain hotel along the highway. Single rooms were smaller. Everything worked. There is a bar onsite and they serve food. I brought my own dinner so I didn’t try the restaurant.
