Hotels in der Nähe von UBC Rose Garden, Greater Vancouver

Wir waren in diesem Hotel, um kurz vor einer Hochzeit an der UBC zu sein. Perfekte Lage mit tollen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Obwohl wir uns in der Nähe des Krankenhauses befanden, hörten wir über Nacht keine Geräusche. Das kostenlose Frühstücksbuffet, das zu unserem Aufenthalt gehörte, war ebenfalls ein toller Bonus! Dies ist mein zweiter Aufenthalt im Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre nach meinem ersten Aufenthalt im Jahr 2018 auf Geschäftsreise, und insgesamt gefällt mir das Hotel wirklich gut!

Die Lage war perfekt, und das Zimmer war für uns beide, mein Teenagersohn und ich, recht geräumig, als wir in der Stadt waren für Universitätscampusbesuche. Die Betten waren sehr komfortabel, und die Starbucks im Lobby, und das Mosaik Restaurant servierten gutes Essen (für Mittagessen). Parkplatz war direkt unten im Grünbuch und war sehr bequem. Wir parkierten das Auto dort und gingen um Robson Avenue zu Einkaufen. Der Checkout war auch sehr schnell und online getan, ohne die Notwendigkeit, sich anzupassen.

Das Hotel könnte so viel besser sein, vor allem für den Preis. Auf der positiven Seite sind das Personal, einschließlich der Concierge, Lisa, und die gesamte Crew auf dem G-Ebene hervorragend - die freundlichsten und hilfsbereitsten Menschen. Meine Suite war komfortabel und ruhig. Das Kingsize-Bett war fest. Der Klimaanlage funktioniert gut. Das Badezimmer ist groß. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, in der Nähe von Museen und Yaletown, mit Restaurants und Boutiquen in der Nähe. Die Fitness- und Schwimmbadbereiche sind auch gut und nicht viele Hotels in der Stadt haben einen Außenpool. Die negativen sind die extreme Vernachlässigung bei Renovierung und Reinigung. Beispielsweise habe ich mit COVID noch eine Frage, nachdem ich ins Hotel gecheckt und die erste Nacht im Hotel geblieben war, fand ich eine leere Flasche Wasser hinter dem Sofa und ein benutztes und schmutziges Hemd in der Nähe des Betts. Ich habe es nicht sofort bemerkt, weil ich um 2 Uhr angekommen und direkt zum Bett ging. Um mein Zimmer täglich zu reinigen, war es ein Schicksal. Das Hotel entschuldigt sich für die Unterbesetzung, aber die Preise waren hoch, um CAD $5.500 für einen Wochenaufenthalt. Wenn Sie den Service nicht erbringen können, sollten Sie nicht belasten, Die Teppiche und die Gürtel sehen alt, schmutzig und schmutzig in den Zimmern und gemeinsamen Bereichen. Aber die schlimmeren Dinge über die Hilton Vancouver sind die Aufzüge. Es ist nicht ungewöhnlich, 15 Minuten zu warten, ich bin nicht übertrieben, von Ihrem Stock in die Lobby zu gehen. Ich verstehe, dass es in Vancouver ein Mangel an Arbeitnehmern gibt, aber einige der enttäuschenden Merkmale des Hilton könnten meiner Meinung nach von Management begegnet werden, die kümmert und verpflichtet ist, Gästen das zu bieten, was sie verdienen, basierend auf ihren Tarifen.

Tolles Hotel sehr zentral gelegen. Hier gibt's alles was man sich wünscht. Der Whirlpool mit Blick über die Stadt, ist genial. Auch unser Zimmer weit oben, hatte eine tolle Aussicht. Da ich nicht schlafen konnte, hab ich stundenlang am Panoramafenster gesessen. Das Frühstück ist auch vollkommen ausreichend und hat bis auf Wurst und Käse alles was das Herz begehrt. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das Plastegeschirr in diesem schönen Hotel. Ganz ehrlich? Das geht gar nicht! Das es auch in Corona Zeiten anders geht, haben unsere weiteren Hotels gezeigt. Vom Hotel aus haben wir alles fußläufig erreicht, aber auch die Bahn ist nicht weit weg. Wir haben in Vancouver ein paar sehr schöne Tage verbracht und das Hotel war für uns perfekt.

Dies war perfekt für meinen ein Nachtaufenthalt vor einer Kreuzfahrt geeignet. Die Lage ist leicht vom Zug vom Flughafen und weniger als eine Meile vom Kreuzfahrtterminal zugänglich. Es ist keine Frills, sondern sauber. Ich hatte ein geteiltes Badezimmer, das eine Sorge war, aber es war gut. Sie teilen das Badezimmer mit einem anderen Zimmer und Sie werden sie dort hören, aber wieder war es eine Nacht. Es gab einen Tauch im Zimmer, der gut war, da Sie nicht das Bad für die Grundtändern zu schütteln, etc. Wenn ich wieder eine Nacht in Vancouver machen würde, würde ich zurückgehen.

Es ist ziemlich zufriedenstellend, ich mag es nicht sehr. Am Tag meiner Ankunft vom Flughafen zum Hotel hatte das Hotel nur einen Stromausfall und kein Internet. Nach einer langen Zeit des Herumwälzens waren alle erschöpft, also bestätigte ich dass ich das Zimmer bekam. Es war hilflos.

Wir blieben in diesem Sommer da und es war erstaunlich! Der Service war großartig! Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel! Aber was es für uns machte, ist, dass wir auf unserem Weg nach Hause von unserem Hochzeitsmonat und Saksham, nachdem wir diese auf die Penthouse Suite für keine zusätzliche Gebühr angehoben und es war wirklich die Kirsche auf dem Eiscreme für uns für unseren Hochzeitsmonat und wirklich Topf auf unsere Reise in einer erstaunlichen Weise! so vielen Dank an ihn für das! My husband and I stayed one night at the Burnaby location in order to attend a dinner function nearby. We checked into our room and the heater was already on and set at 68 and seemed to be working OK. Shortly after we arrived in the room, a maintenance person knocked on the door to see how the heater was working. That should have clued us in as to what would happen next. A bit later, the unit started to spit out cooler air. I might add that the unit never cycled off and on as it should. I turned the unit up to around 72 to see if that would make a difference but no it did not. We contacted the front desk and within 5 minutes, maintenance came to check. We were told that the heater had to remain at 68, no higher or it wouldn’t work. I have never heard of such a thing. High temperature in Vancouver was mid 40's dipping into the 30's at night. By this time, it was 5:30 and we had to head out the door for the dinner event at 6PM. I wish we would have demanded a different room, because when we returned it was definitely cooler in the room. We were both tired and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning so we decided to “gut it out”. I looked for additional blankets and there were none. I wound up sleeping a total of 2 hours in my coat. This was not a comfortable experience.  I am generously giving this property 2 stars as the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk clerk kindly gave us a 50% discount for our discomfort which was the best she could do, but when I contacted their HQ was offered a 50% discount off a future stay. Don't think I will take them up on that offer, but thanks anyway.

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM.
