The clerk asked for ID and credit card, but instead of just looking at them to verify like usual, he took them. He checked them front and back while typing info his computer. This took some time and it didn't make sense. My name matched, it was an award stay, and I had to slide the credit card myself afterwards anyway. I've been IHG Platinum for years, and have an IHG credit card. My card worked fine. What additional info did he need to store? I'm concerned about what he did with my personal info. No other hotel has ever handled my ID and card that way. The next morning, I asked a different clerk about this behavior. She was nice but didn't have an answer. I asked for a manager to call me. None did. All in all, an unsettling experience.
