Larry is awesome!! He was friendly, kind, helpful, thoughtful and great to chat with! We walked in for a room without a reservation. My husband and Larry talked about being firemen and the advancement of technology in firefighting. Keep up the great personality and loving what you do Larry!!

Comfortable, clean rooms. Helene at the front desk was a joy to deal with. HOWEVER, if you have a Choice Privilege card, make sure that you either show them or recite the number to them. I've been a member since 2017, stay at the same hotel 3-4 times a year and have received NO POINTS towards future stays as the hotel system seems to not be linked to CHOICE. As such, you lose whatever points you've earned after 18 months. Many other hotels in the area, same pricing and amenities. I've now cancelled my card as it was a useless number that earned me nothing. What a shame.

Ceiling light burnt out. Wall plugs were so worn we couldnt plug our chargers in. Could not shut the bathroom door it was so out of line. Bathroom tap was ready to fall off. The room had a awful smell similar to a wet animal. Breakfast area was used in the morning to fold laundry etc..I understand it's an economy hotel but things shouldn't be like this. Hot tubs were Luke warm at best . Will not stay here again

Would not recommend this hotel. The heat / cooling system wasn’t working room was extremely hot. staff couldn’t do anything about it. they gave us a fan from the 1960’s that did nothing. We stayed for 2 nights. they never came to tidy the room or bring new towels. The food for the breakfast was the same for both days. No fresh fruit. i think they just reused the sausage from the day before. The hotel needed updating and a thorough cleaning.

Staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. That goes a long way! Hotel itself needs a lot of attention! Renovations are definitely needed! I know that can cost a lot of money but what the owner could start with is just general cleanliness. See photos. That hotel used to have 4 hot tubs. They were down to one functioning one this weekend. The one in the pool area has been filled in. One is completely covered and apparently likely won’t be fixed due to cost and one didn’t have water. The one functioning one was smelling very strong of chlorine and was foaming a lot! Not a good sign! The breakfast was ok. It was lacking fresh fruit. Everything else was fine.

Best hotel stay ever for an Economy hotel. The staff went above and beyond to surprise and delight us during our five night stay. The hotel pool was amazing. Our favorite amenitie by far. The pool courtyard has beautiful architecture with 20 foot windows looking outside at the beautiful landscape. The breakfast was hot and delicious with an amazing pancake maker. The rooms and beds were very clean and very comfortable. The hotel location is fantastic, next to great restaurants and shopping. Not only will we stay here again, we can’t wait to book our next vacation at this hotel.

Best kept secret in lodging in Grand Forks. Facility is old but the cleanest mature property I think I have ever stayed at and I am 64 years old and have traveled at lot. But what makes any property the best is the staff. Thank You Karie for your attention to detail and making my stay so relaxing and comfortable. And thank you Billie in Maintenance for taking my empty cart from me and returning it to the Lobby and greeting me later in the evening. I will certainly stay here again. Canadians....Save your money for shopping and stay here. If all the staff are as good as the few I met you will be pleased. Super clean bathroom and room. I didn't see anything that needed cleaning although it was not busy. A full house may make it more difficult to keep clean, but everyone is facing staffing issues since COVID and even before for some professions.

Check in- was ok, the person wasn't very friendly but it was quick. Room - the door was open and when we tried to close it, it wouldn't close because the metal plate was bent and sticking out. My husband told the front desk that it needed fixed. We would have asked to get another room but the hotel was sold out because of a music festival. So we waited in our room for someone to come fix it, because we couldn't leave. After 45 minutes, my husband went back and a different staff said that the first girl "must have forgot" to call maintenance. She informed him that maintenance was not working that day but she would call him at home. We managed to push the plate down with our card to get the door to shut so we could leave for supper. The room itself was spacious but the bathroom was old and dingy. I couldn't figure out how to get hot water in the shower, apparently you had to keep turning the knob several times. I'm 5'3" and I had to duck under the shower head, the bathtub wasn't draining properly. No vanity space to put anything. Grimy bathroom floors. The curtain in the room did not actually close so the middle piece was just a sheer curtain, so everyone in the parking lot could see in. We took the bedding liner and hung it up over the gap with hangers from the closet. We had a chair and my kid sat on it and the back of the chair wasn't even attached. This room was honestly a joke. Pool - was large and nobody was in it, likely due to them being at the concerts. There were 2 small hot tubs and a kids pool. This was a decent area and I imagine very nice in it's prime, but very dated now. Breakfast - average hotel breakfast I would not stay here again. Our door never did get fixed, my husband had to get tape from the front desk and tape the plate down, they wouldn't give us a screwdriver to take it off. Hotel booking sites say it has an arcade but it does not. Personally I like when my door shuts and people can't see into my room from the outside.
