My husband and I recently spent the night here. It was fabulous and above and beyond of what we expected. Everyone that works there is so friendly and accommodating. We accidently booked for the wrong night (our mistake) and they went out of their way to make sure we could get a room. We ate at the restaurant at night and enjoyed the wines. It was a perfect end to a great day of wine tasting. Also, our room had the best view ever!

Das Hotel liegt an bester Lage direkt am Douro. Die Infrastruktur entsprach den Erwartungen, wirklich schön! Leider ensprachen die Dienstleistungen nicht den 5 Sternen. Das Personal im Gastronomie bereich war nicht gut ausgebildet, ausgenommen der Chef de Service. Weiter waren auch die Mitarbeitenenden der Rezeption waren nicht wirklich hilfreich. Da das Restaurant nur wenige Plätze hat (ausgebucht) und sie uns am Sonntag keine Alternative anbieten konnten, mussten wir in der Bar zu Abend essen. Der Hinweis unsererseits die Gäste beim Check-in explitzit darauf hinzuweisen, wurde mot dem Hinweis auf die Homepage zurückgewiesen. Meines erachtens keine 5 Sterne!

#1 & nur empfohlen, im Douro Valley zu bleiben (in meiner Meinung)! Hoffentlich hat das Ihre Aufmerksamkeit, weil keine weitere Suche nach wo zu bleiben im Tal ist notwendig. Markieren Sie meine Worte, dies wird eines der Besten und am meisten erinnerlich Teil Ihrer Reise sein. Wo soll ich sogar anfangen? Das Haus selbst ist ein MASTERPIECE, ein wahres Kunststück (die Geschichte, wie es erbaut wurde, ist auch charmant, aber Sie werden Ihren Aufenthalt buchen müssen, um herauszufinden!). Die Zimmer sind alle durch die Decke hoher Fenster mit herrlicher Aussicht auf den Tal umgeben. Das Personal ist Top-Notch und die am meisten sorgen/welcome wir jemals getroffen haben (und wir haben viel reisen). Das Essen ist unverschämt und einfach das leckerste, was wir während unseres Aufenthalts hatten. Ein zusätzlicher Bonus ist, dass die Eigentümer dieses Hauses auch eine Tourfirma namens: The Douro Exclusive besitzen. Diese Tour mit dem Haus ist Familienbesitz/Familienführung, die es viel besonderer macht. Die Familie ist in den umliegenden Teilen des Tals und Portugal die Menge der Geschichte und des Wissens, das sie über alles wissen, ist sehr beeindruckend. Selbst wenn Sie nicht im Haus bleiben, buchen Sie Ihre Tour mit Douro Exclusive, um den wunderschönsten, authentischen und echten Tag zu haben, als jede andere Tour bieten könnte. Wörter und Bewertungen reichen einfach nicht für diesen Aufenthalt und Tour, aber wir möchten diesen Hinweis mit Dankbarkeit und absoluter Liebe für unsere gesamte Erfahrung und Aufenthalt beenden. Wir fühlten uns wirklich so speziell und zu Hause. Dieses sollte 100% als 5-star Aufenthalt betrachtet werden. Wenn Sie wirklich suchen, dass authentische und echte Erfahrung Bitte machen Sie sich selbst einen Gefallen und wählen CASA DO ARCO. Sie werden es nicht bedauern!
