It’s one of the best living experiences that we have made in New Zealand and the owner was really nice for having everything ready for us even we arrived late at night. It was so sweet of him that he turned on the heater before arrival as it was so freezing that night and offered us some cookies. Highly recommend it!!!

This is a gem of a motel! The rooms are spacious and recently updated. Bed was super comfy, bathroom spotless, and the kitchenette had everything necessary including welcoming chocolate chip cookies. The outdoor spaces and garden art were delightful! The staff were incredibly friendly and made recommendations for walking the short river trail into town. Definitely recommend this property!

We only stayed one night at this motel as we were just passing through. It is tucked away in a lovely leafy street. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The day we left we ventured into town for breakfast not knowing we had left a charging cable behind. John, the owner, found it and tracked us down in town to return it. Now that's service! We would stay there if we are ever in Geraldine again.

From the friendly welcome to the comfortable and very clean room there was nothing to fault about our stay here. We only stayed one night on our way from Christchurch to Aoraki/Mount Cook but enjoyed our walk into town for a meal at The Village Inn. We found Geraldine to be a friendly little town with a few nice shops and a small market on the Saturday morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful stay. Cannot fault the cleanliness, comfort and convenience. We had the two bedroom for my sister and I. Lovely kitchenette with beautiful garden at the door. Comfortable beds and large bathroom. The touches added to the decor make it smart and homely. Hosts are fabulous and couldn’t have done more to make our two night stay wonderful. Thankyou

Fantastic hosts and great funky rooms, everything you need, not over the top but always clean, tidy and perfectly presented. John and Sandra can't be beaten for looking after their guests, really pleasant and welcoming people. Each room has an entirely different colour and theme, so pick a different room each time you stay to enjoy an entirely different decor. Ask Sandra for decorating tips - but steer John on to horses, probably safer than asking him if pastels are in this season. Easy wander into town through the park to enjoy Geraldine's charms.
