Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Geneva

The bed was comfortable but the overall experience was terrible for the rate we were charged. The room was not clean, light bulbs missing, bathroom was dirty. The hotel had the intent to make sure you are comfortable but with the smoke/fire alarms going off each morning with the fire department arriving to investigate was way more than normal. The cleanliness was suspect and it felt useless to ask for help, since we were in and out so much. You’ve got to cover the basics. Clean room, toilet paper, light bulbs and if you offer free food then make sure it’s fresh and eatable and doesn’t burn down the building each morning.

This is straight up an average place to stay while in Geneva. The beds are not comfortable and the breakfast was so bare bones we ate out so we could get decent coffee. The room was clean. I wouldn’t normally be so annoyed but they charged such a premium during HWS family weekend that I feel I should have at least had a good night sleep. It was a rip off. I’ll stay in another town next time instead of paying almost $400/night.

Very Clean hotel inside and out! Room was spacious, had very comfy beds and pillows with standard amenities. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional! Minutes from some good restaurants, shopping, beautiful state parks and Wine Trails!

My only complaint is that there wasn’t a non-pork breakfast meat option. Everything else was great. CxService by all staff was great. I had an issue with the toilet which was fixed within 20 minutes of reporting it. (Shout out to Mike) The location is within 20-30 minutes of many activities. I would stay here again!

The room and all the facilities were very clean and well-maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They would have gotten a five star if the breakfast bar was fully supplied on all of our 4 mornings that we were there. We arrived on Sunday, September 8 and on Monday morning the breakfast bar was well supplied except the fresh fruit stand. There were several oranges, but only one apple that was badly bruised that was ready for the trash. We overlooked that though. However, the remaining three mornings, the selection dwindled. On Tuesday morning, no hard boiled eggs. On Wednesday morning, no hard-boiled eggs or yogurt. On Thursday morning no hard boiled eggs. We were told that they were waiting for the truck to come in. Each of the mornings we were there for breakfast around 8 AM. One would think that they would order supplies based on the amount of guests they had each day.

Our stay was very pleasant. I would recommend the Microtel Inn to my friends and family. It was close to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores.

Staff was very friendly, room was comfortable and very clean. I had a one queen room, it was small but plenty for me as I was traveling alone. Cleanliness is my top priority when booking a hotel and this one was great. The free breakfast was also good. Bagels, muffins, cereal, and waffles were all available. Check in and checkout were super fast and easy. I would definitely stay here again!

Stay was comfortable with few hiccups. Our first room was right next to the lobby and there were loud noises came after midnight from lobby and we could not sleep. However, the staff was gracious enough to change our room after 2 nights of the stay. The second room had a wet bed and most probably ceiling leaked after heavy rain storm. We also had clogged toilet but was taken care by the staff. Breakfast was monotonous but adequate choices. Overall the stay was comfortable.

This was my 2nd time staying at this property. The location is fantastic when doing tastings, etc. in the area. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and I would stay there again. The breakfast offerings were a little lackluster in comparison to other Microtel properties I've stayed at. Everything seemed pre-wrapped and refrigerated or previously frozen (except for the waffles). Again, it is in an excellent location to seek food elsewhere, but should be noted.
