Motel 6 Rochester, NY - Airport

At check-in, the hotel clerk said the cost was $200 and not the 91.20 guaranteed rate from Trip.com. he said because of the eclipse on Monday. I checked in Saturday, and I was checking out Sunday, so it has nothing to do with the eclipse. He was rude and insulting. I knew I wouldn't find another place, so I paid the $200 and told him he will get a bad review. Also note... there was another room guest. A cockroach. I killed it.

Iam so thank for motel 6. When I had no place to go there they was very hospitality very professional very honest very helpful. They keep the place up and nest and clean smell very good and fresh. Maintained very helpful. The owner very Profesional and very helpful. Just a great place. Again thank you for your wonderful room and services they provided. The older front desk lady Mrs Marnia was such a wonderful front desk lady. Again thank you so so very much

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in and it had a very bad odor. The hotel also charged me for the same room twice, had to dispute the charge. Toilet roll holder falling off the wall, the beds had stains on them. Due to college graduations, other hotels were booked or I would not have stayed. If I wouldn't have had my 75 year old mother, I would have slept in my car it was that bad. It really deserves a negative star.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Crawling with cockroaches, and FILTHY from the parking lot to the room. TV didn't work, air conditioner didn't work and when I picked up the phone to call the desk, that didn't work either. The curtain was dangling off the rod, the bedspreads had black (something) all over them and burn holes too. Something pink (nail polish maybe?) all over the floor. Furniture was was worn and gross. Stained and broken lampshades.... Garbage overflowing in the hallways, peeling paint and rusted vents....I could go on, but I think you've got the picture. I have pictures if you want to see them.

If I could do this hotel, we get no stars. This is shameful motel six I don’t market that you know Department of Social Services putting people up in the hotel but when you got these hoodlums hanging around in the lobby playing boom box in the lobby and the staff there don’t look very professional, and Not very helpful my room when I went to take a shower, I pulled on the thing that came right out of the socket so I had to stick my finger up the pipe up turn on the shower and there was blood on the curtain paint the mirror. Cigarette burns on the sink. The furniture in the room is very old and outdated and stains on the carpet. I had to take an ultraviolet machine to go over the bed to see if there’s any bugs or anything to kill any germs on it everything I touch I have to do that that room and then my hotel key didn’t work I have to go keep going to the front desk about a dozen times to get it work in my door And it’s just a mess over there. The pool is overgrown. It looks like nobody’s been out there arm cleaning it even though it was covered. Did you got all these homeless people hanging around in the back by the pool on the picnic table drinking smoking **** doing all types of *****. Now this hotel should not be given any rating not even us have a star.. I went there to inspect hotels, and this is one of them out to inspect, and it failed miserably.

Filthy raggedy motel. Local hang out place for miscreants. Very sketchy & infested with roaches! Appalling & should be shut down. Waste of my time & money. They should NOT be a Motel 6 franchise. Disgusting, pitiful motel!

I used this hotel as a park package as a spot to leave my car for the duration of our travel. Upon entering the lobby you were overwhelmed with the smell of pot and cigarette smokers. People congregating outside and on the steps as if they were temporarily being housed there for the winter. The shuttle got us to the airport and we parked. BUT return not so much. Left us abandoned at the airport as the front desk attendant decided to shut off the phones an party behind the counter. After 30 minute caling and freezing hoping a shuttle would come, we gave up and had to pay for a cab to retrieve our car. NEVER EVER would I park there again. And after reading reviews of roaches everywhere, thankful we didnt do a stay package too. AND thankful she didnt drive drunk to actually pick us up. MOTEL 6 should take away your franchise. This is a disgraceful hotel!

This place is not worthy of a star but we could not write this without doing so. We used ParkSleepFly with Motel 6, (09/16/22), to get a nice night of sleep and leave our car parked here instead of at the airport in Rochester NY for cost savings. The Parking, the shuttle and return shuttle pickup worked fine. The sleeping on the other hand never happened. The room was a shambles. The baseboard carpet in the room was half on half off, wires hanging from the ceiling where the smoke alarm was supposed to be, no wastepaper basket, and the TV was falling off the wall only held up because the corner of the TV was resting on the dresser. That wasn’t the bad part. The 40 plus cockroaches were unbelievable. Kudos to my wife for not freaking out. We sat on the bed the entire night watching TV from 6pm to 4am killing roaches thus no sleep. I tried to take a shower and I killed 2 more roaches that came from up around the shower head. I have never experienced anything like it. When we checked out and told the person at the front desk we got “Oh I am sorry”. Really! Another couple was checking out at the same time and also complained. When we got to the airport we compared notes with the other couple and they had the same experience. So this isn’t just a one off. NEVER EVER will we go there again. How can they get away with this?
