We visit Galveston frequently. Since we are Hilton Diamond members, we decided to try this Hilton property. Our first impression with check in was not good. I made this reservation two months before in January for a first floor room and was told none were available. Since none were available , I used the online check in for honor members to pick my room on the second floor close to the elevator because my husband has mobility issues. The front desk told me, I could not have that room with no explanation. The check in clerk, Rebel. was not helpful at all. She did not give us our water or treats for being an honor member. After our check in, we did like our studio room. It was very clean. We had an ocean view room which is not worth the money. The ocean view is too far away to pay the extra money. The breakfast is very nice with many options. We would probably stay at this hotel again. Hopefully, they will have a better trained check in person.
