The Tremont House, Galveston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Wonderful location and fantastic hotel. Spent two great nights at this hotel. It’s beautiful and staff were amazing. Have nothing but high marks for the hotel.

Even though it rained a lot over the three days we were there we were able to see several of the more famous old homes, eat at several of the local places and just enjoy ourselves. The people of Galveston are knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful when looking for new things to do. I can’t wait to go back!

This hotel is an elegant blend of art deco area architecture and furnishing and modern amenities and comforts. There is a bar with a limited menu, a “restaurant” area with a bit more expanded menu and an upstairs rooftop eatery that was unfortunately closed when we were visiting. The service at the restaurant was a little lackluster (they acknowledged us when we walked in from behind a counter and quite a while later someone else asked if we had been helped) The drinks were solid. Food was fresh when we received it however the menu was pretty limited. The service of the rest of the hotel staff was excellent (front desk, doorman). The bed was very comfortable and the gorgeous architecture was on point for the era and carried through. They have a shuttle to the cruise ship docks if needed.

Poor attitude and bad management response. Electrical issues, bad valley, wacky bartenders, management non existent. If you have an actual issue it will never be resolved. They might respond saying they talked to staff. Nothing will be happen. Galveston attitude at its best.

The bar at the Tremont House is built on amazing service. From their rosewood carved bar from the 1800s to their service minded employees, the tremont house exceeds all expectations. jasey’s service with a smile coupled with Stuart’s expert mixology made for a perfect night for my wife and I. I can’t imagine a better experience than what the Tremont House provided.

I booked a block of rooms for business meetings we had in the Galveston area. The location of the hotel was perfect and a very short walk to the historic Strand area. The service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The rooms appeared to be recently updated and were very spacious. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the cafe and some great drinks at The Toujouse Bar. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend choosing The Tremont House Hotel for your stay!

My husband and I walked in to this beautiful establishment after having a bad experience at a local B&B. From the time we walked in on September 19th until the day we left on September 25th we were treated like family. Everything was perfect! We even received a special gift on our anniversary! We would like to thank Lila and Caitlin for making our anniversary special especially after our bad experience elsewhere. Their kindness made our day and brought joyful tears. I might add they were always there to answer any questions we had with smiling faces! These two ladies are awesome! Thank you!!!! We would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful accommodations - clean, upscale, and vibrant throughout. The accommodations are only the beginning - the friendly staff make this experience unforgettable. . This is our 2nd year in a row staying here…We will be back again soon!

We chose this hotel due to their offer of a stay and cruise package where you leave your vehicle and they provide transportation to the cruise dock and then pick you up. The hotel is very charming and in a great location. When you arrive, assuming via car, you are met with the valet. I told them I was using the stay and cruise package. Valet and Front desk were extremely helpful The hotel has a bar and restaurant and although we didn't use it, they booth looked very nice. The public areas in the hotel are spacious and comfy. We loved our room! It must have had 20 foot ceilings! The room has a refrigerator and a coffee maker. There was an ice machine down the hall. We opted to Uber to the seawall to do some sight seeing. Should cost you about $8 to do that and I highly recommend it. Plenty of places to eat near the hotel and the seawall. Back to the room-it was quiet and comfortable and I gotta say-just cool with the retro decor. Getting the ride to the cruise dock was easy. Put your name on the list and get on board (please tip your driver-I think I was the only one who did). The driver took us to the cruise dock where a porter took our bags! Returning was equally easy. You get on the shuttle right where he dropped you off. We had to wait a bit but not a problem. Using the link they provided, my vehicle was waiting for me when we got to the hotel. Couldn't have been easier and was stress free.
