Marriott's Fairway Villas

First,( I am being completely honest)and this being my second time here. This place is peaceful, nice, and overall a nice place to stay at! One thing I love about here is that it’s like a pretty community and you can walk anywhere without feeling harmed or worried. I can write paragraphs about how this is good but this is a part of it!

We were treated to a 2 bedroom villa by friends who are Marriott time share owners in CA. We loved the room sizes and layout. The fire pits at night were a nice addition. The location right off Route 9 was ideal. There is a nearby resort, golf course and pub within walking distance. We visited the NJ shore towns from Point Pleasant to Cape May from this central location.

We have been staying at MVC properties since 2014, and this is our third MVC property this year. I am also almost at gold status with Marriott for the year. Check-in We arrived at 3:30, knowing the history of this resort on a Sunday. It was 4:40 when I called, asking why I hadn't received a text yet. The response was that we had people check out late. It's almost 5 p.m. I am not sure I can help with that. Checkout time is 10 a.m. This was a bad start, considering they wanted me to go on a sales pitch since I am not an MVC owner. We then denied the sales tour for $250. For the Florida and other resorts, we rent on RedWeek. Since we live in NJ, we paid cash for this NJ resort. Room We have been in this room for four nights. The main TV has been having problems daily, and the workers have even told us that it is a common problem at this property. The shower gel fell off the wall, and I was lucky it didn't hit anyone in the foot. The girls that came said it happens constantly as they are held up by a sticker in the shower. These are minor issues but seem to be expected with the resort. The worst one was the green head flies. They were all over. The room, you can tell, has been used and is functional, but it needs to be taken care of. Pool The pool at this resort was nice but was packed with people. Both the adult pool and kids' pool area were very busy. My kids are 11 and 14 and didn't do any of the activities as nothing was for that age, but they played a few outside games. We went here in 2021 and 2022 and were used to it being pretty quiet. I guess the families are back, as it was packed. Staff The maintenance and housekeeping staff that we encountered were nice and tried to help. However, they all seemed frustrated because it was an ongoing issue. Food We did not eat at the restaurant on the property, but my kids did enjoy making smores at night. There is a charge for this. Location If you like AC, it is about a 20-minute drive. You can also get to New Jersey beaches in about 20 minutes. We are big fans of MVC Ocean Pointe, and they need to improve a lot to get anywhere near that level.

We found the suite huge, the atmosphere tranquil the week preceding Memorial day. Service was friendly and impeccable. The property is not new, but is very well maintained. Many areas newly carpeted, painted. Large indoor and outdoor pools, clean and in very good condition. During our stay, most guests appeared to be age 50+. An easy drive to beaches. I only wish they had better coffee!

I really had a great time at the Marriot Fairway Villa BUT I am highly disappointed with their service!! I checked in the villa on April 21 and checked out April 23. It is now May 15 and I Still Have NOT Recieved my deposit of $100 back. The receptionist stated it takes 3-7 business days to receive your deposit back. I waited the 7 days. Then I spoke with 2 more front desk workers named Jessica and Cheryl. They were no help at all. They said there’s nothing they can do, it takes time on a debit card to get your deposit back. Fine waited even more days. Then spoke with a Manager Named Amanda. She stated it takes 7-14 business days to receive your deposit back. In which neither one of the front desk stated. They all said 3-7 business days. So is it 3-7 business days or 7-14 business days? Guess what’s it’s now the 15th business day and I still haven’t received my $100 deposit back. I spoke to my bank and the bank stated Marriot Fairway Villa is holding/still pending the deposit refund. At first the workers tried blaming my bank then the manger Amanda stated “ it’s not your my bank, it’s (Freedom) “ Marriott’s associated bank.” This is very unprofessional and upsetting. I stay at hotels/travel all the time and never had this issue with receiving a deposit back. Dont waste your time staying at this place unless you want a headache or your deposit money stolen. Thanks for nothing Cheryl, Jessica and Manager Amanda!!!!

Beautiful suite. Even bigger and nicer than the photos on their website. Very comfortable bed, nice sitting/eating area, cute screened in porch. Fire pits and grills outside. A few activities for the kids and bingo for everyone. It was very quiet and relaxing in the off season.

plenty of room for 2 people (own bedroom for each) but would work fine for 6 people. The staff is knowledgeable, problem solvers (if needed) and friendly. The location is close to Atlantic City and to other points of interest. if golf is on the agenda...2 great courses...one is tougher. the only down side is they no longer have the spa (Red Door)

If you stay here, get used to the phrase, “well, we used to…”. Have fireplaces. Have hot tubs. Have walking/jogging trails. And the apartments waited way too long for their renovations. My stove barely works. The nicest part of this place is the hallways. The front desk staff is not there to help you. They are there to get you away & cater to those who make a fuss. If you are nice, you get screwed. I asked for a room that would be quiet. They gave me a view of unused facilities where I heard road noise from route 9. Not quiet. Most other buildings have views of the woods & are far from the road. They had a choice & they screwed me. The indoor pool is not big enough to have open swim and pool fitness classes at the same time. The open locker room is totally insufficient - 6 lockers - and 60 degrees. The rest of the amenities building is under construction. The drinks at the socials are awful. No food service options are open. It’s Christmas week & it’s mobbed!

I was here for a week in April (for my husband's birthday); a week in May (for my birthday); and three days in June. This is the third year we stayed here. Love this place. Fun, clean, close to AC and good restaurants...anything you need they bring to your condo within a short period of time. If there is a problem, let Management know while you are staying there...not when you get home...if lightening is a problem, let them know. If anything is a problem, let them know...they rectify the problem as soon as possible. Our two bedroom is always amazing...see you in April!
