很新的酒店，位置也好，再加勒古堡靠近海邊的地方，旁邊有家中餐館。酒店設施很新，樓頂露台也非常出片。值得住一次

Visited for a private lunch party in the stunning setting overlooking the Indian Ocean in Charlie’s Bar. Fantastic attentive and friendly staff who catered for our every need, delicious food and drink. I just wish we could have stayed longer! The manager had that capable air about him. Would definitely recommend and definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Charleston Hotel. A great hotel and very central in Galle. The staff are very welcoming and ensured us nothing was too much trouble. You are even provided with a mobile to take with you when you are out and about to keep in contact with the hotel. The hotel opened in January 2024 and has all the mod cons you would expect from a modern hotel. All staff go the extra mile and only too willing to help with anything they can. It is almost nothing is impossible. You can even have your laundry done and this is included free of charge, providing you stay a couple of days. Breakfast is Al la carte and a short menu. As we needed to have gluten free, at breakfast we had mango bread on our first day and the second day coconut bread. Yummy! My only comment there is not much of a choice of the local cuisine on both the breakfast and dinner menu. Would definitely stay at this hotel when in Galle.

Tucked in down Lighthouse Street within the fort at Galle you’ll find the Charleston, and what a find it is! It’s a modern boutique hotel with fantastic rooms and amazing bathrooms. And there’s even a pool! The staff were welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast can be taken in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the sea. It’s good and served from a small a la carte menu. The hotel decor is to an exceptionally high standard, reflecting the art deco theme, and it was immaculately clean. As an added bonus the first floor terrace faces west where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the sunset whilst sipping the hotel’s signature cocktails. If you’re looking to stay an exceedingly good hotel within the walls of Galle Fort, I’d highly recommend the Charleston

Amazing hotel. Every detail was thought through - from unbelievable furnishings and extra water in the rooms, to welcome drinks and fantastic service throughout the stay. I wish I could have stayed longer!! The restaurant is also amazing - delicious cocktails and breakfast.

I had an exceptional experience at The Charleston with my colleagues. If your travels take you to Galle Fort in Sri Lanka, I highly recommend staying here. Our sunset cocktail evening on the rooftop bar was nothing short of spectacular – both the cocktails and the panoramic view were outstanding. The rooms were impeccably designed with luxurious, comfortable beds, showcasing a remarkable transformation of this 1920s merchant villa. Additionally, the staff’s professionalism and friendliness greatly enhanced our stay.

We spent three weeks driving around Sri Lanka and, with a few days left before heading to the Maldives, decided to explore the southern province. Despite May not being the ideal season to visit the southwest, our experience at The Charleston at Galle Fort more than compensated for it. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to exceptional hospitality that truly set The Charleston apart. I hold top elite status with several hotel chains and have stayed in numerous premium five-star hotels, but the level of service here was on another level. The staff went above and beyond in every aspect, from the warm welcome at check-in to the personalized attention throughout our stay. The location, just south of Galle Fort, serves as an excellent base for exploring the area.

Excellent Hotel, my husband and I stayed here on our last night in Galle before flying back home. The rooftop bar gave us a spectacular view of the last sunset with some very tastefully done cocktails. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The staff were out of this world. We had to leave the hotel at 5am to go to the airport so they kindly made us a packed breakfast of fresh fruit and delicious bakery goods and they also arranged a morning coffee for us before we left. Very rare to get service like that these days. We will be back 😊

Beautiful hotel with impeccable service ✨ Great value for money compared to other hotels. Our room had a terrace overlooking the beautiful garden. I loved the fact that the rooms are de-cluttered and free from unnecessary amenities; however, you can get whatever you want (boiled water, slippers, q-tips etc) from house keeping within minutes. I would book again and can highly recommend staying at the Charleston.
