Sand Castle on the Beach - Adults Only

My husband and I stayed here during our first visit to St. Croix. I was looking for a nice, comfortable hotel right on a sandy beach. Frederiksted seemed to be the best area and Sand Castle checked all other boxes. We had ocean view with first floor suite facing pool and beach. We could walk out from the locked patio or leave from front door and either way, we were mere steps to the sand and water. This beach also had great snorkeling. We saw a lot of different fish, a sting ray, a sea snake and a huge starfish. The water was calm and cool. The hotel provided chairs, umbrella, chair covers and towels. (Weather was hot, but it was June.) Hotel suite had bedroom, living area, small kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and dishes/utensils. Bathroom had hair dryer and lots of hot water with great water pressure. Staff was helpful and friendly. They served coffee and true continental breakfast in morning. Hotel restaurant on property as well. We never had a problem parking or getting a chair at beach or either of the two pools. We also felt very safe there and on the island. Property was pretty and kept very clean throughout the day/night. If we go back to STX, we will stay here again.

We took a flier on this boutique hotel and we couldn’t have been happier. I spent hours reading reviews, looking at photos while deciding whether to stay in Christiansted or Fredricksted while in St. Croix. When I found this hotel it checked all the boxes. Neat and clean facilities (pools and outdoor areas), fairly priced rooms and amenities and a beautiful view from the beach. To our surprise they exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the private villas across the street and enjoyed our quiet and peaceful stay. From the front desk staff to the owners and everyone in between I could not have been more impressed. It is close to good food and local experiences which were important to us. With the island being a small place we were able to explore all of St. Croix and relax. Thank you for such amazing views, hospitality and warmth! Rooms were comfortable and perfect for any stay.

We needed a getaway and that's exactly what we got! Our courtyard room was comfortable but not fussy. The staff was welcoming and eager to help. The gardens, pools and beach were all beautiful! Finally, the excellent restaurant gave us the option of not leaving the premises if we just wanted to chill. We did find a few nice restaurants and a couple of shops in Fredriksted, but other than the pier, the town seems pretty depressed. Highly recommend a sunset cruise, a visit to Christiansted and a day trip to Buck Island!

We went solo around st. Croix and found this place which was amazing, ended up staying the whole day. Drinks were amazing, beach front was beautiful, overall an excellent experience. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone looking for something to do on their cruise port

I was so surprised by how clean and beautiful everything was. The owners were around and checking in with customers multiple times a day every day. Staff and owners went out of their way to help me and my boyfriend multiple times. The convenience of being right on the beach plus free snorkeling gear and chair towels. The best bartender on the island and the most amazing staff. Especially front desk staff. They really care and it shows. 100 out of 10. It feels better and more comfortable than visiting family. I will be coming back.

This place is like heaven on earth, man. The owners, Chris and Ted, are super nice. Chris would take the time to show us these amazing flowers around the resort whenever he saw us. One of them even smelled like Chanel No. 5! They have tortoises in the courtyard, which was pretty awesome. I even helped find one. Josh at the front desk was super helpful and friendly, giving us all the best info about the island and what was going on in town. The beach is beautiful and the water is crystal clear full of beautiful fish and if you're lucky like us you'll even swim with sea turtles! I would go back there in a heartbeat. If you want a vacation where you can totally forget about the real world and relax, this is the place to be.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Sand Castle on the Beach. It was a very intimate location, very relaxing, not a party resort, which I was fine with. Front desk Armans was knowledgeable about the area, it allowed us to venture out and experience the culture. Breakfast was continental, lunch & dinner was amazing, very tasty and filling. The sun setting at this location is something out of a movie, truly beautiful. We stayed in the King Villa only a few steps away from the sand. Staff was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and perfect beach hotel and excellent staff. Thank you. We will return soon. Swimming and snorkeling everyday and then enjoying the restaurant chef cooking and staff. So great sleeping in a clean and comfortable bed after an active day.

The online photos look amazing, but in person, the resort is very small and is right next to a public beach. We were there over the 4th of July and the loud music, people racing up and down the street on quads, motorcycles and other vehicles was very dangerous and unnerving. In the morning, we were wakened by a local exercise class (instructor shouting and counting at the top of his lungs) in the ocean right next to our room. The beach chairs were rusted and dirty. We wanted to have a quiet vacation, but this was anything but. The complimentary breakfast each morning consisted of a piece of bread and hard boiled egg. Our last night there, we were told that the only resteraunt on the premises was closing at 3 p.m. We did not have a vehicle to go out to dinner so we ended up ordering a pizza. Very disappointed.
