This place is a lovely home from home. It’s well situated just off the main road, and is classy, clean and cultured. Everything about the place is comfortable and welcoming. The facilities are spacious and well designed/furnished. The breakfast is extensive, and served on the covered patio. The gardens are small but very well groomed by a wonderful team. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day!

Lovely property,pool& garden in a beautiful place. Room was spacious with a dressing room. Very quiet had three wonderful nights sleep. Good breakfasts every morning.

We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful guesthouse. Very central but still very quiet in a lovely town with loads of great restaurants to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the pool and garden area. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the veranda. Staff were fabulous and could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend this little gem and would return here on a heartbeat!

Tucked away in a pretty Residential area yet just a short walk from a good choice of restaurants plus the start of the wine tram. Friendly staff, very comfortable, good breakfast and a great view from the verandah. Perfect for our 2 night stay Thankyou.

Mont D’Or is a lovely private hotel located in the centre of Franschhoek village set back off the main road so it is also very quiet. Our welcome was very warm & our host showed us around the facilities & room. We had a very nice, large & comfortable room looking out onto the back garden & swimming pool. Great bed & pillows! The bathroom was spacious & the shower great. We were there at the start of Winter & as we had a room with a high loft the air conditioner battled to keep the room warm. However we were warm & comfy in bed. The breakfast offered in the morning was fresh & delicious. The main street is a very short 3 minute walk to restaurants & shops. Overall a great way to complete our South African holoday!

Top location close to all activities in Franschhoek. Comfortable rooms and nice garden. Also relaxing swimming pools with sleeping chairs.

Easy to find, this accommodation is very special. There is a nice pool which we used despite it being very cold in April. The rooms are lovely, the staff very attentive and the breakfasts were very good. Parking around the back was easy. We walked to the tram station on the day we arrived to see how close it was but we took the bus the next morning as it was easier. We felt relaxed here and the garden is lovely to sit in and relax. We ate breakfast outside.

We were traveling as a family of four and this was our favourite place that we stayed on our 20 night tour. The accommodation is fantastic, the breakfast is great and the staff and owner are really friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants just round the corner and very convenient for the wine tram. Unfortunately, on the second night it was just us and a group of 20+ bikers staying. We were assured this wouldn’t be an issue. At about 10pm they all returned to the courtyard and opened up a cool box to party. I had to get out of bed and ask them to be quiet. The following morning at breakfast, they were all seated together on a long table next to ours. They were so noisy we couldn’t actually talk across our table. Plus the breakfast had been decimated and we had to sit there waiting for the buffet to be restocked. Such a shame as this really ruined our experience.
