Waterscape Condominiums

This review addresses the complex only. Condo (rented from owner) will be reviewed separately. First time visiting here, and I was impressed with the condition of the common areas. Only a couple of things showed some wear and tear. Great amenities and events for children. Beach setups could be reserved for an extra charge, otherwise first come first serve. I was not real surprised but still will complain about kids (and adults) throwing footballs in the toddler area and lazy river. Also lots of people just swimming or using own floats in lazy river. Pool monitors walk through occasionally but never confronted people. Also not supposed to have your own music without earphones. This happened during the pirate show and so we could not hear the show. Never confronted those without the required wristbands either. We were on the sixth floor (top), thankfully because could still hear DJ music in our condo. Too loud! Our condo was great, and no complaints about elevators or parking,

This is an amazing resort in Ft.Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. We stayed in A604. It has two masters each with a huge tub and big shower! There is also a bunk room. Each room has a tv as well! This condo is rented out by Coastal Vibes. There is a big balcony with fantastic views of the beach and all of the amenities.. lazy river, tiki bar/restaurant, workout facility and multiple pools! We enjoyed the high top table and chairs on the balcony and the beach chairs and umbrella are included! Beautiful beach!!

We had an excellent time at Waterscape. We have never stayed at a condo before but it exceeded our expectations. We were on the top floor close to the water. It was a short distance to the beach and pools. All of the pools were perfect for our little family. The kiddos loved it so much! Especially the lazy river and the Lily pads. I was amazed at how clean the facilities remained all week. A lot of families were here during this time and the place stayed spotless. There were security officers that you would see walking the facilities. I felt very safe walking to the pool or beach by myself. The condo itself was lovely. It was very well kept and updated. We went through Coastal Vibe vacations. They had wonderful customer service. The only issues that we had, were there wasn’t a lot of cooking utensils. The ones that were there were ancient and falling apart or plastic and flimsy. I almost spilled a pot of boiling water due to the loose handle. I do not expect having fancy cookware but functioning and not rusted would be great. Another issue we had was with how people save chairs at the pool or beach all day with their belongings early in the morning. Every chair would be taken and no one around. There would be plenty of chairs if people used them when they actually needed them. There needs to be guidelines put into place with this. Other than those issues the place is wonderful. The elevators work great, nice and cool ac and enough buggys to load and unload luggage. Just didn’t last long enough 🥹

Traveled with 2 adults and 3 kids aged 12, 9, and 21 months. Stayed in A407 which had a decent chunk of view of the beach between the hotels. Two levels of pools. We arrived Saturday night and headed to the pool. It was overwhelming how many kids and parents were still going strong at 8:30pm at night. Big lazy river that even the 12 year old loved. The lily pads are a hot spot but the lines move super quick. Monday afternoon there was a vendor with spraying tattoos, scavenger hunt, hair braids, etc. Wednesdays have a glow party. Super cute. Originally the horseshoe setup of the beach chairs was off putting but every seat has a view and it isn’t as big as it appears in pictures. We opted to take a shibumi to set up right by the water because of the yellow flag conditions. The signage is confusing to get to the pools and beach. There isn’t an apparent entrance into the pool area but rather weird dingy side doors from the buildings at various points. Many elevators scattered throughout.

A227: Danica was a tremendous host with excellent communication before and during our stay. The first day I messed up and locked myself out of the room and she responded immediately to help get me back in. My wife and I had our 15,9,7,3, and 1 year old on A227 and they all had a blast. The room was just a short walk to the toddler area that the 1 and 3 year old really enjoyed. The 7 and 9 year old loved the pool with the lily pads the best, and the 15 year old loved the beach and hot tubs the most. We had one minor issue with the bathroom fan being abnormally loud and no way to turn off since it is automatic with the humidity. Danica sent a maintenance person the next day and had the noise from the fan decreased and it was so much quieter. The room was very clean! The whole condo was also very kid friendly. We didn’t have to worry too much about the 1 and 3 year old breaking things since everything was pretty kid proof. There were tons of toys for the kids to take to the beach that Danica provides in a big toy box along with extra beach chairs to take to the beach. Waterscape is a very family friendly environment. We enjoyed meeting and talking to other families at the pool and beach. This was our second time staying in A227 and had another wonderful experience.

We stayed in unit A 410 from late Nov 2023 to first week of March 2024. Very nice condo. Two bedrooms with bunk room, kitchen, 2.5 baths, and living room. Nice TV selections and WIFI was very fast in this unit. Unit A 410 was remodeled in early 2023. This was our 14th consecutive year at Waterscape as Snowbirds, thus indicates how much we like Waterscape. The covered parking garage is a great amenity, especially when storms come in and there is wind and hail. Security if 24/7 is good. Easy beach access to why you come to the Gulf Coast. Very nice swimming pools and lazy river. Well maintained and kept clean in all common areas. We booked via Vacasa which operates the front desk and provided us outstanding customer service. Easy if you have any condo issues to contact the front desk if you book via Vacasa, otherwise contact the rental company you booked via. We have booked for next year.

Unit A605 has a great view but is 300 steps from the parking garage. But the main problem is the living room furniture. Not family friendly. Only seats 4 people very uncomfortablely. The couch is very low and saggy. Whe you sit on it you almost sit on the floor.Instead of a love seat or a couple of recliners there is only 1 low chair. Wish the owner would update the furniture.

A322. Nice enough. Basic room. Cable tv. Spring mattress was awful. Limited pillows and blankets. ‘Premium’ beach service is first come first serve. In order to keep ur spot at the beach u have to pay to reserve the seats and have to have a towel on the chair by noon. Walking distance to the beach is a bit of a walk. You’ll get ur steps in. VERY kid oriented place to stay. The kids will love it. ONLY come here if ur bringing the kids. Not really couple friendly. We had a fine time though.

The beach is beautiful. Our condo A412 avoid like the plague. It's completely worn out. Our vacation is ruined because we can't sleep in the valleys in ANY of the beds. Broken ice maker, blood and urine stains on pillow cases and mattress protector. Maybe, there are some nice condo's, but definitely don't rent with Vacasa.
