I had the worst experience evacuating from Hurricane Milton! This hotel needs a deep cleaning. I felt so unclean during my stay. Breakfast=disgusting. I'm not a picky eater but everything was inedible. The eggs were grainy & watery! One a/c unit in the suite was broken so we had to blast the one in the king bedroom and sleep with the door open to cool the other room. Kids upstairs were jumping off the beds until almost 10pm. Left a message with the front desk around 8pm and the jumping continued for 2 hrs! The fire alarms were randomly going off and the staff was clueless. After evacuating downstairs, we were cleared to return to our rooms but never notified they would be continuing to test the system! When the alarms started going off again a few hrs later, we called down before evacuating just to be told it was a test. A proper hotel would have warned us ahead of time! I paid for late checkout & was interrupted 6x by cleaning staff who weren't notified by the front desk. Finally, at noon I decided to give up on trying to get extra rest before my long drive back to FL. While packing up the car, my daughters found our keys were deactivated early. I notified the front desk that I had been locked out and was leaving early due to the constant disruptions. I received no apology and was denied a refund of my late checkout fee because the " manager wasn't in until 3pm". I've filled out 2 surveys asking for someone to contact me and still response! Lastly, I ad to shake out all items and wash everything again at home because they have roaches in the bathroom!
