This hotel is has a wonderful front lake view and that’s it. Rooms look very old, some rooms are not reached by an elevator and you will have to bring your suitcase up the stairs and no one will tell you that or offer to help. That says enough about the staff.

This is a lovely hotel, built in a nice architectural style. It has a view to the island and is also only a short tuc tuc ride from the airport and the two shopping malls (one is actually in walking distance). The small pool is nice and a welcome refreshment on hot days (we had 40 degrees Celsius during our stay in March). The rooms are nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The A/C worked well. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Why not 5/5? There are a few minor issues, such as: no kettle or coffee making option in the room, no fridge, safe didn't work, breakfast is a la carte but limited (could I have yoghurt and toast? No, it's either or...). Also, the day we returned sweaty from a sunrise tour to Tikal, there was no water in the room. Probably not the hotel's fault, but a bit annoying anyhow.

I see this hotel on luxury hotel lists - that's funny, but I guess if you think motel 6 is the height of luxury..., otherwise definitely go to Villa Maya for an actual luxury hotel at a bargain price (& it's less than this hovel) - breakfast is mediocre (but free) - & go to the little island for some cuteness & fun

This was a good location in the city. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was also ok. Can’t expect any 5 star hotels in Flores, but it’s acceptable. The pool was cold and too small to swim laps. Easy to walk the nearby. Ridge to visit the little island in just 15 minutes. Howard S.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night as part of a group tour. With a couple of improvements this hotel could be 4 star - if the hot water was more reliable and the wifi better quality in the rooms (it only really worked for me in reception). The hotel is located on the shore of the lake very near the land bridge to the island, about a 15 minute walk to the island itself (shorter if you walk faster). From what I gather this hotel is a bit better quality than anything reasonable you'd get on the island so maybe worth it, it gives the impression of a golf or boat club building-wise. We had welcome drinks of fresh pineapple juice on arrival. The hotel grounds are very nice, a small but lovely pool and a great view of the island. There is a lift in the hotel, but I was staying in an area of the hotel where I had to climb stairs to access. My room was very nice and a good size, with a massive comfortable king bed. Unfortunately I did not have a lake view, and I did see a couple of small lizards. It was air conditioned nicely. The wifi did not work well at all in my room. The bathroom was nice, it did not have a bath tub but the shower was large and had a waterfall head. However the hot water was unreliable, it only ever got lukewarm. The evening dinner menu looked uninspiring and expensive, but I did have breakfast at this hotel. There was papaya (?) juice and what I think was either porridge or rice pudding (it was very thin) available as buffet, but when I sat down I was given a menu to order off. I could choose from scrambled eggs, continental breakfast, healthy breakfast, or pancakes, I ordered pancakes which came with fruit and honey and were very nice. However I didn't realise that we could mix and match, and ask for additional items such as orange juice, toast, etc., so it would have been nice if this were explained. Overall this hotel was quite good, but needs to improve their wifi coverage and hot water quality to achieve 4 stars.

Terrible service! We were meant to be 4 people staying here but one of our family members resulted ill and could not travel anymore. I emailed the hotel before the room change tariff applied asking if we could change 1 room from double to single, and had no answer. On arrival I asked this and was told they could not do this because all rooms double or single costed the same, even though I can see on their website and *********** this is not true! The reception guy refused. The hotel food was awful, specially for the price you pay for 1 room which are very noisy, and very average in comparison to many hotel rooms in the area that are actually located inside Flores.
