Hotel la Martinica

Please Beware, I was sexually harrased by the pool guy , Francisco, and no one did a thing, even after multiple complaints! He literally hovered over my sunbed, and touched my face, while telling me to leave my husband, that he would "satify me" more! Very scary. I told the front desk lady and Nothing was done, so I hid in my room, as my husband was on a business trip here and i had no where to go. The manager said " I did not think it was serious". After I explained what happened in full detail, word for word to the girl, marie, at the front desk in Italian. She apparently told him I was" bothered a little". They did NOTHING. Women, please don't stay here, unless you want to endanger yourself or your children. This pool guy hovered over me and touched my face telling me to leave my husband, for him! That I was " bona" or a nice piece of ass in Italian. Just shockingly Disgusting!!! Not a thing was done and the guy still works here! No one apologised or anything! Even as we didn't want to stay the last night after the incident, they refused to return our money! DO NOT stay here, for your own safety. It's not safe. Very scary. Beach and nieghbourhood is very ghetto and covered in garbage. I tried to leave but no taxis in site. I feel violated and awful after what was meant to be a holiday. I've worked in hotels for over 30 years and travelled the world. As a woman and mother, I'd advise you to never come here, it's unsafe! Hotel manager was blasé about the whole thing and did not care at all. As I tried to speak with him, he told me he was good friends with the pool guy and that he can't believe me. The front desk girls laughed during me telling him and more hotel staff gathered around and laughed, making fun of me, as if it were a theatre production or comedy. There were two female staff among them looking on and laughing. Humiliation toward a sexual harrasment victim and Violence toward women is a serious crime outside of Sicily. Shocked beyond words. I URGE BOOKINGS AND TRIPADVISOR TO NEVER ENDORSE THIS HOTEL! ITS UNSAFE. I have alerted my country's embassy.

Excelllent facilities and exceptionally helpful staff especially the girls at the front desk. Breakfast was plentiful and we enjoyed sitting in the dining room meeting other guests. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was large. The restaurant was wonderful and the ocean view spectacular.

My girlfriend and I are currently staying here. Don’t bother coming unless you like rude staff, a hell of a walk to the nearest train station (25 min walk) and love having a filthy bathroom! Honestly our stay couldn’t be any worse and we have actually just booked another hotel for the remainder of our trip in central Palermo. The area is run down, the food in the restaurant actually isn’t that bad apart from the prices. A standard pasta dish is around €27. I paid for a better room and was given a room on the ground floor (201) right next to the lobby and was kept up all night by staff coming and going and new arrivals. This hasn’t even scratched the surface I could keep going with the countless problems we encountered. I think the worst part about the stay was arriving to our hotel with a filthy toilet, that’s totally unacceptable. I asked the manager if she could arrange a local taxi (or even if they could give us a lift to the train station which I did see in the reviews on Google they had offered some customers free of charge) the manager laughed and said it would cost €85 euros to get into Palermo central from this hotel. If your English reading this, please take my word for it and avoid like the plague! I can guarantee it will ruin your holiday.

Great location Staff was so helpful and nice. They were very understanding with any requests. The view from the room was beautiful. Not far from Palermo Easy access and parking Restaurant was delicious was great seafood selection A place to go

We stayed 3 nights, out of season in October. Pool looks great, and easy access to the beach. Reception staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent. By contrast the restaurant for dinner has no atmosphere, and as non-Italians we were largely ignored, so ate there only once before finding friendlier places nearby. Taking the train in to Palermo was easy and so much better than trying to drive and park!

The rooms (we stayed in a triple room) are spacious and beds are really large. The swimming pool is very small, the beach is tiny and as soon as one moves down it a little, there is quite a bit of garbage, although the part that belongs to the hotel is clean. By far the greatest let down was the very restricted menu choices given to those paying for half board. We had the same pasta selections (plus or minus a different sauce) for the whole week and three to four second courses, with the same types of fish all week. The a' la carte restaurant is excellent, and one is stuck watching the gusts coming in from outside for dinner eating some really exciting dishes, and not being able to deviate from those on offer with the half-board deal without paying extra. The hotel allows for a substantial part of the dining area to be used by external parties, they continue quite late into the night and the volume of the music is very loud and can be heard with windows shut (there is a decent air con sys). They diluted the breakfast orange juice to a level that it tasted like water with some syrup. On the first day they had awesome orange juice. You may need to ask for your coffee to be served warmer, as every day we had it almost cold, this was only changed after asking. The pastry selection at breakfast is good, it is also the only thing available except for some cold meats and very small bread slices that you have to toast. The yoghurts on the side were quite warm. On the half board you have to walk up to the bar (also used by external customers) to get dessert and you are charged extra. The personnel is very respectful and everyone is very friendly and kind, the cleaners are excellent.

Siamo stati in questo hotel e devo dire che ci ritorneremo a occhi chiusi bello anzi bellissimo vista mozzafiato si mangia BENISSIMO PORZIONI ABBONDANTI camere enormi e confortevoli piscina bellissima pulita e comoda con i suoi meravigliosi lettini. (Se volete usare l'idromassaggio è a pagamento to con i letti matrimoniali) Spiaggia PULITA ATTREZZATA CHE È COMPRESA CON L'HOTEL. un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff MA SOPRATTUTTO LO SCRIVO IN GRANDE GRAZIE A GIUSEPPE GIUSEPPE E GIUSEPPE PERCHÉ È DAVVERO UN GRANDE PREMUROSO GENTILE CORDIALE SIMPATICO E ALLA MANO FOSSERO TUTTI COME LUI GRAZIE DI CUORE. ci siamo trovati bene anche con le persone che si conoscono lì in hotel. È stata la vacanza più bella e fantastica soldi spesi bene andateci perché nn ve ne pentirete. Grazie di cuore a tutti ma soprattutto a Giuseppe

Abbiamo soggiornato dal 7 al 12 Luglio e siamo stati benissimo. La camera era adeguata alle nostre esigenze, i letti comodi, climatizzata al punto giusto, avevano un terrazzino ampio e comodo. La colazione è ricca e Alessandra è molto cordiale e disponibile. Al ristorante abbiamo incontrato persone gentili e accoglienti, in particolare il maitre. Si mangia davvero bene . Alla reception tutti molto gentili ma il nostro ringraziamento va ad Anna che si è sempre preoccupata delle nostre esigenze. La struttura è incantevole. Abbiamo usufruito sia dell'accesso in piscina che della spiaggia privata. I bambini si sono divertiti tanto. La posizione della struttura è centrale, a 10 min da Bagheria e a 10 min circa da Palermo. Per il prossimo viaggio a Palermo di sicuro ritorneremo. È stata una vacanza davvero rilassante grazie all' hotel La Martinica.

Sono stato in questo posto perche ho festeggiato il compleanno di mia figlia 18 anni che dire se si potesse dare 10 li darei, cibo eccellente pesce fresco e location da favola. organizzazione perfetta camerieri molto professionali, un ringraziamento particolare va fatto a Salvatore perfetto in tutto!! la padrona di casa dall'inizio alla fine è stata straordinaria, la signora Adriana si vede che fa tutto questo con amore e umiltà.
