Quality Inn Farmington

Pros: There is a pool and the pit bull was enjoying it quite a bit. I saw no rats or cockroaches The itch cleared up quickly with hydrocortisone 1% Only $59 Cons: Pit bulls running free (2) Door to room did not need a key (2) Walls filthy Ceiling paint peeling Uncomfortable bed Sticky floor Unapologetic Staff for having to wait in line while others complained about their rooms I wouldn't stay here again for free. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me the $59 instead of me paying them. When I checked in I noticed the door opened right up, I didn't even need a key. The lone guest services rep rolled his eyes and led me down the hallway as if he was going to show me "how to use the key", and after five minutes, shrugged and said "lock is broken". I said "I already told you I could open the door without the key". Back to the front desk we go with a line of people stewing. He gives me another key and - are you ready for this - again the door opens without the key only this time I'm greeted by a broken chair and sticky floor when I open the door. (see pic of chair). Back to the front desk third time is the charm, the door needs the key to get in! But the room, it's like they really just don't care. (see pics of wall, ceiling, showerhead).

very close to my activity. room bed was nice. Clean. Bad stuff. TV would not turn on. Refrigerator had no controls and would not work. a second table in room with no chairs had braces screwed to it and really needed to be recycled. Most rooms with 2 queens have chairs with table. Breakfast was burnt eggs and biscuits stuck to a crock pot. No coffee cups. when asked they are out of cups. I guess no local place sells cups. It is 20,000 points for a two night stay. we decided to change this to a 1 night stay 12 days before trip. still cost 20,000 points. Indoor pool remained locked the entire time of stay. out door pool not open yet but understandably cool for that. Have stayed here 3 times and gets little worse each time. Will drive a little farther next visit to this area.

We check in expecting a nice indoor room like we had last year. Instead we were stuck in an exterior entry room. The door had been kicked in and not repaired. They did nothing about it. We had to blockade the door to keep it from opening. The bedspread was filthy, no stapper in the tub, outdoor pool green, indoor pool ice cold, snack and drink machine inoperable and ice machine had open lid. No telling what all was in there. Oh the phone didn't work so to complain I had to go to the front desk. I am handicapped, not fun. We didn't even recieve an "I am sorry" It is a dump. Stay away.

This hotel had a comfortable room. It wasn’t extra clean and I found hair in the bathtub. We arrived late and it was very dark and didn’t feel very safe. Our room was on the top and there was no elevator. The room was very very close to the highway so the road noises kept me up awake a good part of the night. The breakfast was the best part of stay. They had eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, pastries, and fruit. It was almost embarrassing to see other patrons eat like they had never seen food before. Watched a young man completely clean a full pastry case out in one sweep. People were bringing bags and taking all of the fruit and oatmeal. It led me to believe many people are living here full time and this may be their only food source. Hotels in this area are expensive so for the price and need this was an okay place to stay one night.

place was very dirty. It had mold and the bed had hair on it where they had not changed the sheets. The towels even had hair on them. I asked for my money back. They offered me a new room but it was not any better it was worse the lights didn't even work in it. They said that if we went and got something to eat and came back they'd have the room cleaned but they didn't. I'm pretty sure the side walk was cleaner then the room.

After checking into out room (108) we opened are bags and noticed a roach on the wall. We killed it and took a picture then our son said look there is another one on the suitcase. My wife went to the front desk and was given a different room. During that time myself and my son found a total of 7 roaches and took pictures. We decided to leave and stay at a different hotel because there was no way my wife and kids were going to stay in that. I was told the manager would cancel the reservation in the morning. I called two days later to find out the manager is on vacation and they can not call them to get it resolved to get me my money back, I then call choice hotels because I have been a member for several years and was told they would give me 8000 points but not my money back, When I pushed back i was then offered just my money back but no points. I am not looking for a hand out but giving me my money back when I didn't even satay is not doing me a favor. It is my money. When I told the representitive that they hung up on me. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I contacted the health department because the hotel also serves food to the guest with the roach infestation.

Booked on Hotels.com...paid for pet friendly room. When arriving we were told we had to pay another pet fee. We could not afford to pay it twice, so we had to leave. Quality Inn refused to refund our money...so we are out alot of money. Terrible business which is also sketchy

My family and I rented a room pet friendly room for 9 days we booked on line at *********** after arriving we got our room after 5 days there I got a call from front desk asking if we had a dog I said yes she told me to come to front desk after going to the front desk she told me the owner of quality inn told her to tell me to pay for my dog or they was calling the cops well my dog is a service dog and no I wasn’t paying for my service dog so they called the cops after the Sargent Isabel from Farmington PD showed up we showed the officer our booking of a pet friendly room and my service dog certificate of a service dog after reviewing the clerk called the owner and the owner argued with the officer that I did not have to pay for a service dog and I was in a pet friendly room the owner was laughing the officer told him do you think it’s funny it’s a federal offense to charge for my service dog well after check out they wouldn’t give my deposit back that I put down after threatening them to call the police again they hee hawed around for about 30 min and finally gave my deposit back! So please if your thinking about staying here I wouldn’t!!!!!

First of all, this motel is probably one of the nicest Quality Inns we've stayed in. (We typically stay at Comfort Suites) The outdoors looks a little dated but rooms appear to have been renovated. Our room was at the back of the property in a separate building, was quiet and we could see our car from the window. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Large TV worked well as did the AC. We didn't use the frig, microwave or pool. Hot breakfast was fine although the breakfast room was a little small. My problem was during check in. We reserved using the Choice Hotels app under our Choice Privileges Diamond member account. I always do our check ins due to my husband's mobility problems. As soon as I tried to check in the clerk told me that since my husband's name was on our Choice account he would have the come inside and physically do the check in. We've been Choice members for 30+ years and this has NEVER happened. I had our membership card and all the proper ID. She could look out the front door and see my husband sitting in our car. I pushed back and said no and that we'd go somewhere else. Another woman came out from the office and said not to worry, and we finished the check in. Then they told me I had to put down a separate $100 deposit that would be charged to my CC and not refunded for 5 days if we didn't smoke in the room or cause damage. Once again, this was a first for us and if this is a new policy for Choice Hotels, we'll reconsider using them in the future. Choice corporate usually emails me to do a follow up survey after our stays and I'll be bringing both concerns to their attention. I've never written a review this long but I'm still confused as to what happened.
