Palmer House Inn

Lovely B&B in the heart of Falmouth. This is everything you expect of a Cape Cod Inn. Lovely older home furnished in vintage style. Comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful innkeepers. Amazing breakfasts. Easy walking to Falmouth center. It is also just a 5 minute drive to the Ferry Parking which makes it a great jumping off point for a visit to Martha’s Vineyard.

Tom was a great host and we had a really good stay at this hotel. Everyone was very helpful and it’s very close to town. There isn’t much in Falmouth but it is a very quaint little town. A very good breakfast is included in the room rate and it’s also only a 10 minute walk to the free shuttle service if you intend to visit Martha’s Vineyard. One word of warning about Martha’s Vineyard, everything is closed from November until April. We went to Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven but we’re very disappointed to find that virtually every store, restaurant and coffee shop were closed! We visited Nantucket at exactly the same time last year and at least 50% of the premises were open. Very puzzling and even a couple of locals we spoke to don’t understand why this is the case. Especially so close to Christmas and they actually had Christmas merchandise in the store! The island is beautiful but we struggled to get a coffee and only found one bar open in Oak Bluffs. However, I can thoroughly recommend The Palmer Inn and Falmouth as both are charming. Lots of places to eat and a couple of good bars as well.

The inn is just beautiful. Original stained glass windows, lovely Victorian touches throughout. Nice front porch and beautiful gardens. Easy to walk to the shores and restaurants, which are terrific. Innkeepers are nice and helpful, though a bit reticent.

Palmer House is a lovely Inn. We really enjoyed our stay. There is the main house and the guest cottage. We stayed in one of the rooms in the guest cottage. It was a large room with a king size comfortable bed. The bedding was also very comfortable. The bathroom was updated and the shower was a large walk in. The property was lovely with beautiful gardens. The guest cottage had a wrap around porch with plenty of seating to enjoy. Which we did! Delicious fresh baked goods and coffee and tea were available in the main house. The property and rooms were clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Beach towels were provided. The Inn was within walking distance of downtown. I highly recommend this inn and we will definitely stay here again.

What a delightful B&B made very memorable by all of the warm hospitality. I arrived late so special arrangements had been made to ensure that I had access to the room that was lit and welcoming when I arrived. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It had many extras including lots of lovely bathroom amenities, coffee, tea, biscuits, local travel brochures and magazines and writing paper. Afternoon tea was on offer every day and homemade cookies were left out for late-night snackers. Breakfast was cooked to order, served promptly and was simply outstanding. Leave some extra time in your plans to just sit on this beautiful veranda after breakfast and enjoy the garden. The owners of this B&B have set high standards for hospitality and it was a pleasure to stay there. I would make a special trip to Falmouth, a charming town, just to stay at this B&B.

Used Palmer House Inn for our base whilst spending g 4 days in Cape Cod. Really attentive staff and comfortable big rooms that also dished up a great breakfast. Short walk to a range of restaurants and shopping… Probably take about 20 mins to walk to beach
