Ohtels la Hacienda

I booked this hotel as a package with Tui, it was a short four night break and I booked it for a fantastic price including bed breakfast and evening meal with flights transfer and luggage. We arrived quite early in the morning. I was informed our room was ready, but that wasn’t a problem, when we checked in the lady was really helpful unfortunately I forgotten her name ! We left our luggage with jaun, who locked it safely away while we took a look around the complex, the hotel looks traditionally Spanish, with its iron stairs and traditional tiled floors, I really liked it however some people might judge differently because it didn’t look as modern as some near nearby . We were given lilac ribbon wristbands (half board) I noticed a lot of people had navy blue bar-coded wristbands, as they were for all inclusive guests, on booking I did not realise there was an all inclusive option nor was I offered it as grade when I checked in! This isn’t a problem for me, but perhaps other guest might like to take up the option is given a choice. My room was very comfortable with air-conditioning plenty of towels, and a small fridge. We had two double beds in the room and spacious balcony. I was on the first floor so could not see the pool from my balcony but I think all floors higher than mine had good pool views. The indoor pools are chargeable at €7 and swimmers will need to wear a swimming cap, available to buy. Dinner in the evening was very good, the guy on the live grill station cooked sirloin steak on the first night and you could request how you wanted it cooked, Large king prawns were also available, I was impressed with the quality. I was delighted to see a chocolate fountain on the dessert table, dinner is served until 10 pm which I think is great so often all inclusive hotels dinner and she is a bit early in my opinion. Mercedes was very helpful and polite, all the stuff was fantastic. The live entertainment is on until 11.30 at night and with the balcony door open it was very loud, but the double glazing was fantastic and the moment you shut the door it was almost silent. I slept soundly. The outdoor pool was fantastic very very clean plenty of sunbeds. Pool table, table tennis, tennis waterslides, plenty to do. Breakfast served from 8 am till 1030, plenty of selection the traditional cooked eggs and bacon lots of different pastries, fruit, pancakes, and freshly cooked bread. I ordered a burger and chips at lunchtime it is a different portion than the all inclusive guests get. I got a really big bowl of chips and a nice quality burger served hot. This hotel is situated just a short walk to La pinda Beach near Tarragona, it is a very beautiful sandy beach with sunbeds available to hire, The hotel is also very well situated if you want to visit the waterpark this is within walking distance. And you can get a bus from outside to Salou and the port Ventura adventure Park. La pinda is a quieter resort than it

It is rated a 4 stars hotel, beware as they are Spanish 4 stars. The hotel looks nice from the outside but the rooms are old and tired. The beds are comfortable but the bedrooms are basic. The pool area is crowded even in September and the sun beds are on top of one another. We went all inclusive and we could not have most of the cocktails, that was a disappointment. The restaurant has a cold feel to it again basic not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The food is terrible especially if you are a vegetarian. It’s bland and boring vegetables absolutely not effort there. The vegetables are mixed among the meat and fish and there is no vegetarian area as such. It would not take much to improve this but I suppose it’s not an important issue. The salad bar is nice but again in the ready prepared salad you can’t be sure what is vegetarian. The labelling is poor. Their pizzas are nice, thin and crispy, very tasty. Don’t bother with the lunch pack if you are going out for the day. It’s an external company providing it and it’s crab or ham and cheese thin awful looking sandwiches, even when you are offered vegetarian. Make your own in the restaurant as their bread is really good and you usually have one choice of cheese, I have up by then making sure it was vegetarian. You only live once. The all hotel is clean enough it smells a bit drainy, just don’t look at the kitchen trolleys too closely it will put you off your bland food. All in all been there but won’t go back. Would I recommend it? Not if you are a vegetarian.

One on the best holiday in our life . We spend 5 amazing days in Ohotel La Hacienda in La Pineda ❤️ Down Amazing and very clean hotel . Great , very friendly stuff . Reception girl great , friendly and very helpful with great English. All food stuff cooking and serving friendly and kind . Bars and animation people great . Food been amazing, very tasty and big variety of food Food. Short distance to bus stop and to the beach . Definitely worth to go .

Hotel needs a refurb getting a little old.Staff amazing and pool bar food very nice.Food in hotel main restaurant cold not one but every day.Did inform rep and microwaves become available.Pool one of the coldest ever been in. (Had a bad storm ie rain staff run round doing their best but still trying the next day.Not hotel fault but think this should be in the yearly plan as all areas under water.All lift stopped and bars closed .) The entertainment nil and the team did a kids club well tried but for me not enough.Few acts on but again well below average if a four star. Thinking a two or at maximum push at three

Great trip to La Pineda, really close to the beach and less than 10 minute taxi to Salou. Hotel has lots of entertainment throughout the day & night with great entertainment staff who are really friendly and fun. Park, football pitch, gym & indoor pool also available.

2 big double beds in the room and also a refrigerator. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff are so friendly especially when they work long hours. You will always find something to eat but the only problem is most of the time the food is lukewarm warm or cold, there are 2 microwaves there but who wants to heat food up in a microwave especially when the restaurant as just opened, you would think the food would be piping hot. We were all inclusive, all drinks are branded like smirnoff etc and they even have milkshakes and slushies for the kids. A lot of English people were there and we all couldn’t believe that they dont stock any sort of cider at all even if we were to pay for it or subsidised on all inclusive, hope this will change. There is a big inviting pool but the only thing there is that it is stone cold. For a 4 star hotel you would have thought that it would be heated a little, i actually couldn’t believe this as every other 4 star i have been at, the pool was heated. The hotel was very busy and if staff looked this reflected on the pool as you would be lucky if there was 2-3 people in it. There is a jacuzzi sitting to the side of the pool this is also stone cold. They have a great children’s pool with different bits and bobs in it and also 3 separate slides to the side which when children come down, they dont land in a freezing swimming pool as the slides stop at the bottom which is a great idea. Would i come back to this hotel, well i would love to but the downside being how cold the pool is especially when the weather was so beautiful. Hotel itself is beautiful and so clean. Not much entertainment for adults but children’s entertainment is fab. Please think about heating this pool and well done to all the staff

Absolutely wonderful holiday. We were greeted by a lovely lady at reception who was very helpful. The hotel is lovely, clean and simple rooms, housekeeping staff are very friendly and do a good job. The pool area is kept clean and the animacion team and lifeguards are very friendly. Pool is open 10am-8pm. The indoor pool is not available unless you pay extra, but it was worth it for a one-off at 21 euros each for an hour in the spa and a 15 minute massage. The restaurant caters to all with different food every day, all very fresh and tasty. The staff in the restaurant are very accommodating. The bar staff are great and the poolside ice creams were much appreciated. Great place for families with entertainment in the evenings and lots of activities for the children. The hotel is in a great position on the edge of the resort. 10 minute walk to the beach which is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful promenade and sandy beaches with clear blue sea.
