"Aufgrund umfangreicher Renovierungsarbeiten im Eingangsbereich und Erdgeschoss befand sich das als Highlight angepriesene Café im Umbau. Bei der Buchung wurde die Renovierung nicht erwähnt. Die Dachterrasse ist zwar ein tolles Highlight, aber an dem Abend unseres Aufenthalts fand dort eine private Feier statt, die 80 % der Fläche – also genau dort, wo sich die besten Sitzplätze und die schönste Aussicht befinden – belegte. Wir fühlten uns betrogen und werden dieses Hotel nicht wieder buchen."

"Stayed at El Porxo on the way from Barcelona to France. The property far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were beautifully furnished and equipped with walk in shower and robes. Xavier our host was extremely helpful offering us drinks, making restaurant bookings and organising taxis. The view from the living was stunning and the house had a lovely garden."

"Ich blieb drei Tage in Can Cocolona während meiner Reise nach Girona, und ich genossen wirklich meinen Aufenthalt dort 🦋 Das Hostel ist sehr nahe dem Bahnhof und Busstation, die für mich perfekt war, weil ich mit dem Bus angekommen war. Es war leicht zu finden und sehr bequem. Gleichzeitig ist die Gegend ruhig und schön, so dass ich nach einem langen Tag von Spaziergang um die Stadt entspannen konnte. Der Preis war erschwinglich und es war es völlig wert. Das Frühstück war schmackhaft und ziemlich groß es gab Sandwiches, Croissants, Eier, Getreide, Milch, Tee und Kaffee. Es war ein toller Weg, den Morgen zu beginnen, bevor wir ausgehen, um Girona zu erkunden. Ich mochte auch, dass mein Zimmer einen Balkon hatte - es war ein kleines Detail, aber es machte den Aufenthalt noch besser. Das Wi-Fi funktionierte gut, was für mich wichtig war. Es gibt auch eine gemeinsame Küche, in der Sie Ihre eigene Küche kochen können, die sehr bequem ist, wenn Sie nicht die ganze Zeit essen wollen. Der beste Teil für mich war die freundliche Atmosphäre. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfreich, und die anderen Gäste waren offen und nett. Ich fühlte mich komfortabel und willkommen dort!"

"It's a well equipped apartment in a central location but spoilt by horrible contract and rules. The apartment had two bedrooms, an open plan sitting and dining area with a partly screened kitchen area. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed except for a dish cloth. The washing machine and tumble dryer were located behind a wall panel in one of the bedrooms. We had to ask the maintenance team to show us where they were. The bathroom had a large two person sink meaning the toilet was in the shower which was a bit strange. The bed we slept in was huge, the bedding very clean and the bed was comfortable. The free wifi was good and the air conditioning took a while to cool the apartment but was very effective once it got going. A card key opened the front (street) door and apartment door and we felt secure. Although we were above a square with cafes and bars, we weren't disturbed by the noise. There was some noise from the neighbours but this was OK. The cleaning team make a lot of noise on the stairwell when they are working. We had to check in at a hotel about 10 minutes walk away. This was OK for us but might be an issue if you are arriving late or with a lot of luggage. We were asked to sign a 7 page contract which had a lot of rules and threats of charges. We read this carefully. We had to pay an extra 210 euros as a deposit and that we would be charged 60 euros if the apartment wasn't clean and 30 euros if we didn't recycle our rubbish properly. After our stay, we queried these rules and charges and they clarified these but the contract wasn't clear and the hotel staff couldn't clarify at the time of checking in. We couldn't check in until 4pm which we thought was too late given we had to vacate the apartment at 11am. As a result of the rules and threats of charges, we took photos of damage and cleaning issues when we arrived in case the owners tried to charge us for damages and extra cleaning. There were some cleaning issues in the apartment, many of the walls and doors were scuffed and marked, the chair, sofa and cushions were stained as was the carpet. There were burn marks in the flooring and greasy hand prints on the doors and walls. The cistern for the toilet did not stop properly so water ran all the time. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very dirty and we think it was so clogged with dirt that it wouldn't work. It gave a loud noise when you switched it on so we didn't use it. The rule about recycling rubbish properly was because you had to take your rubbish out and deposit it in a series of automatic bins on the street. There is a card in the apartment you have to use to open the bins to put your waste in. The TV in the lounge had very few channels working. We noted many of the local Spanish channels didn't work. The battery cover on the remote control was missing. We paid 150 euros a night which we think is a little expensive for what we got, especially given the maintenance and cleani"
