Hotels in Altstadt, Edinburgh

Excellent location and comfortable apt. It has no view but faces the quiet alley, two beds (better than sleeping in a sofa bed) with two separate bathrooms. Also, it has a washer with dryer. Bathroom fans are noisy so turn off the light when you are not using them.

Idealer Ort im Haushalt Ich habe in Edinburgh Uni studiert und mein Studenthaus ist genau das Gegenteil - deshalb haben wir hier gewählt Der Wert ist ziemlich gut, aber ich werde es nicht geben 10/10 Hier sind die Gründe 1. Die Handtücher haben Fluff kommt immer heraus 2. Bad Handwaschbad sink geht nicht richtig runter 3. Dusche Druck ziemlich niedrig 4!! Das WLAN!! Es gibt kaum irgendeine Verbindung in unserem Zimmer. Die 5G ist auf 4G auf 1-2 Bar so dass wir auch unsere eigenen Daten verwenden sehr langsam... Das WiFi-WLAN wird in der Lobby und in öffentlichen Korridoren besser, aber die in der Lobby nach einem ganzen Tag der Spaziergang kühlen wollen... Mein Mann hatte am Ende der Reise schwere trockene Augensymptome (es hat vielleicht nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun, aber er wacht jeden Abend) Das Hotel verfügt über sehr gute Einrichtungen, die jedem Mitglied, das aufhält, zugute kommen. Aber im Zimmer kann ich immer etwas herausfinden, das nicht den Standard-Sachen des 4-Sterne-Hotels entspricht.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Ibis auf der Royal Mile. Unser Zimmer war modern, in Größe angemessen. Die Temperatur war gerade richtig und das Bett komfortabel. Die Lage war hervorragend. Wir blieben am Rücken des Hotels und waren nicht durch viel Lärm beunruhigt. Ich würde definitiv empfehlen und werde einen Tag zurückgehen. Eine ausgezeichnete Wahl und großer Wert.

I really enjoyed my four days. Wonderful hotel the team was very friendly and helpful at all times of the day. Great location easy to get to from the Station/airport. Good trams service along Princes Street. Plenty of buses along South Bridge which is a short walk. Enjoyed the spa facilities especially the swimming pool. The lounge near the reception area is a little chilly but a nice spot to relax with a warm drink. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend. Rooms Good size room, fantastic shower and products. Bed was very comfortable. It was a tad cold so I requested a blanket which was very snug. Bonus having a fridge and complimentary water nice touch. Tea/coffee try was good but would be great to have some hot chocolate. Nearby activities Holyrood Palace and gardens on your doorstep along with great views of Arthur Seat. Five minutes walk to the Royal Mile. Food and drinks There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. I found the food a bit hit and miss to be honest. Breakfast is great with a great choice in food for all palettes. Warm friendly service.

Der Raum ist mit allen notwendigen Utensilien wie Töpfen, Mikrowellen, Geschirr usw. ausgestattet, sodass Sie bequem kochen oder Tiefkühlkost im Supermarkt kaufen können. Das Aparthotel erlaubte uns, unser Gepäck nach dem Auschecken aufzubewahren. 👍🏻👍🏻 Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. An diesem Tag schneite es in Edinburgh und wir wollten ein Taxi rufen. Das Personal ergriff sogar die Initiative und teilte uns mit, dass das Taxitelefon nicht angeschlossen war. Der einzige kleine Nachteil war, dass das Waschbecken in unserem Zimmer verstopft war.

Without doubt, this was one of our finest hotel stays in recent memory. From the moment we arrived, Novotel Edinburgh set the tone with a level of warmth and professionalism that genuinely stood out. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout and what really demonstrated this was a small but telling moment: we lost our key card during the stay, and it was replaced immediately, without any fuss or inconvenience whatsoever. It's the kind of effortless service that puts you completely at ease, and it's something you remember long after checkout. The breakfast deserves a special mention — it was simply top notch. The spread was so good that holding back was near impossible, and it's the kind of breakfast that makes you actually look forward to the morning. Freshly prepared, well-stocked, and served with care — it's one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had. The location is outstanding. Sitting just a mile from Edinburgh Castle, you're right in the heart of one of the most iconic cities in the UK. Public transport couldn't be more convenient either  buses are accessible right behind the hotel, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without needing a car at all. The one area that needs addressing is parking. The hotel's own car park is frequently full, which meant we had to use the nearby NCP instead. To the hotel's credit, they did provide a discount for the NCP - a thoughtful gesture that softened the inconvenience. However, it's worth noting for electric vehicle drivers: the EV charging at the NCP is painfully slow, so factor that into your plans if you're arriving in an electric car. A heads-up from the hotel at check-in would go a long way. Parking frustrations aside, Novotel Edinburgh is a brilliant base for exploring the city - exceptional staff, an unmissable breakfast, and a location that's hard to beat. We'd return without hesitation.

Ich habe ein Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett zum gleichen Preis wie ein Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett gebucht. Ich hatte das Glück, ein Zimmer mit einem Fenster mit Blick auf das Schloss zu bekommen. Es lag im 4. Stock und die Umgebung war sehr gut. Es gab 2 Flaschen kostenloses Mineralwasser und eine Kapselkaffeemaschine. Der Service war sehr gut. 👍

Es gab eine Tür zwischen zwei Zimmern, die im Grunde fühlt sich wie Sie Ihr Zimmer mit anderen teilen. Sie können die Stimmen/Konversationen der Menschen hören. Zimmer riechen wie Staub. Allgemein ok, gute Lage und das Grundstück Frühstück inbegriffen zum Preis. Sie können kurzsichtige Einstellungen in der Nähe des Hotels von Royal Mile/Schwarz Uhr sehen

Das Hotel hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage, nur 3 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Es ist auch ein Ort zum Fotografieren und Einchecken. Es fühlt sich gut an, in der Landschaft anderer Menschen zu leben! Das Wichtigste ist, nach Edinburgh zu gelangen, wo das Kunstmuseum nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt ist. Es stimmt, dass es etwas teuer ist. Hotels in Edinburgh sind im Allgemeinen sehr teuer.

It was overall a good stay. But since we were given/alloted an accessible room, the experience wasn’t fantastic.  The location and the staff is superb!  Our room was a bit musty. Had we been in other room, maybe it would’ve been perfect.  But over all good !
