The hotel went steeply downhill. It was significantly less accommodating than our previous trips, it didn't respond to our emails and phone calls, so we had to book online. We added our requests to the booking, but they weren't addressed. The real shock came when we arrived there. No staff, no bar, no food, no breakfast. The room was in a state of disrepair, with hair in the shower, dirty mirror and a lot of dust on the furniture. The toilet bin hadn't been taken away since the previous guests' stay. Stains on the towels. We called the reception to request new towels, but no one answered. The shower was either warm or boiling water, which seems to be a recurring issue that no one is particularly concerned about. The only positive aspect was the view from the room. During our checkout, the receptionist appeared as if we were disturbing her with our presence. Last summer, we visited twice due to our fondness for the hotel, and the lovely experience we had, but we won't be returning again. It's such a shame.
