We will never return as long as the current manager George is there. Our feeling about Searocks are very mixed. Most of the employees were wonderful, especially Francesco, George, Maria and Christos from the restaurant, and Georgia from the front desk. We decided to end our Greek vacation by returning to Searocks. We had spent some time there last year and loved it, especially under the management of Christos who is no longer there. This year we reserved a different room, a junior villa with a guest house (we are a family of 5 and wanted accommodations without a basement room). We arrived to our villa and were very disappointed. The villa had an infestation of spiders. We understand that a few spiders are normal but we killed over 20 spiders within the first half hour and contributed to kill more throughout the day. Spiders were crawling everywhere including on the couch and between the sheets in the guest bedroom. I informed the front desk who came to see it and was also a bit shocked but what was going on. Underneath the beds and the kitchen cabinets there were spiders and spiderwebs. I asked to speak to the new manager, George, about changing rooms. This villa was uninhabitable. I was told that they were booked and the only thing they could do was clean the room again. We left the villa and returned a few hours later after having dinner at the restaurant that the resort covered. We were told the villa was cleaned and sprayed with pesticide to kill everything. When we looked again, there were still spider webs and spiders under the bed. I asked again to speak to the manager, George. At this point we had wasted a day of travel and it was almost 11:00 pm. He came to our villa and when I asked if there was something else available, he said he doesn’t know. I did tell him that we could not stay here for a week with the infestation and if there was nothing else available, we would need to go elsewhere and would like a refund. He had also had since 3:00 pm to see other villa availability. At this point he began to yell at me and told me he was familiar people “like me”. For reference, I am a Greek American. After yelling at me for 10 minutes he left and told me he would let me know the next day about a refund but most likely no. That evening, the air conditioner also did not work properly. The next day, the front desk girl did show us a villa next door and that was clean and we decided to move there. It did take an entire day to get it ready. The villa was clean and the same type. Please not that the bathroom in the guest house barely fits an adult and you cannot turn around in it. Last year we had a wonderful time and a great villa. This year’s experience was by far the worse I have ever been treated. Throughout the fiasco, an employee repeatedly told me that she was impressed with how I handled it and she would have definitely stayed somewhere else.
