Arriving at Dinan's historic railway station, one has a pleasant and easy walk to the hotel. It is in an old building with traditional features. My attic room on the top floor was small but perfectly attired, with a writing desk and armchair. A comfortable bed for 2 was provided. The shower room was modern, and all functioned well. There is a small garden area, a dining room where breakfast is served to cater for most tastes, and a communal area full of tourist brochures, plus drinks on sale are to hand. They charge by the night and do not require payment upfront. My bill was very reasonable, so they helpfully added 100€. Should you raise any issues, you may be offered a drink! Across the street, a rather rundown house had a loose shutter, which banged in the wind, so a bit of the real France to send you to sleep. The reception staff are welcoming and allow you to practise French should you wish or need to. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

Nice Hôtel outside of the old town. The staff is friendly and the room is comfortable. We were a family of three and having the extra bed was great. It is suitable for a family of 4. We did not eat here. It is difficult to drive to and the directions on our phone were confusing at times. There is no parking at the hotel. We needed to climb some stairs with our bags to get to the hotel.

The hotel with its owners is one of the cosiest stays we experienced at a hotel. The owners make it very personal and are very service minded. Walking distance to the old town with free parking outside the hotel. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. We want to come back!

We stayed 3 days in this beautiful little hotel in Dinan and we already miss it! Kevin and Roxana built the most lovely place at two steps from the historical centre of Dinan and it’s perfect to explore the city. We stayed here with our little ones and they really loved their big beds! Each morning, a freshly prepared breakfast is ready for all the guests and the yummy fragrance of the pastries is all around the house! We hope to visit again during summer next time as there is a lovely terrace where guests can relax and it was still closed during this period of the year.

From the outside you expect a quaint and maybe creaky experience. Step inside and the vintage of the house is declared by the massive granite hearth that frames the reception. But then, gracefully guided by Kevin or Roxana, a cunning web of well-lit staircases lead you into small clusters of rooms that are spacious, flooded with natural light from windows with views and serenely fitted out with the best of beds & bathrooms. No frills, no shabby chic, just top of range examples of everything useful. The whole enterprise is lit up by the authentic eagerness & enthusiasm of the young hosts.

Staying at “la port Saint Malo” was a wonderful experience! We spent three nights in this wonderfully clean, intimate, friendly and helpful hotel! The owners: a young couple, Kevin and Roxana, are a hard working and beautifully positive and helpful. We called in a day before our reservation and added a day, arriving two hours later to a sweet welcome and a quick recommendation for a local restaurant- that Kevin was quick to book for us. They helped us find parking nearby the hotel. And the short walk to the old city was magic. We stayed in two different rooms (due to the sudden change in plans and late reservation), and both were beautifully renovated, while respecting the original architecture. Our double room with a balcony had a wonderful big shower. The breakfast was rich and varied, with lots of fresh local products. Dinan was a joy to be in and the hotel was a highlight!

The couple that owns this hotel are the cutest!! They personally greet you, help you park your car, give advice on restaurants. The rooms are very clean and quaint. It is walking distance to the walled city, a little hike to the river where there are a lot of restaurants but worth the steps!

I rarely rave about a place, but this is an exception. The owners, Kevin & Roxana, are absolutely wonderful. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests in whatever is asked of them. The renovations that have been done are spectacular. It feels very homey. In addition the location, a couple of blocks from the gate to the Old Town of Dinan, makes it easy to explore the city. It's also very close to St Malo which is also great but very touristy, so I found Dinan a much better alternative.
