This hotel was so nice. Loved the room and coffee maker. Breakfast was good, with multiple options, and I slept like a baby. My only criticism is I booked with points (use or lose) and the first thing I was asked at check in was how many points it took for me to stay here. This was unnecessary and rude in my opinion. If I have the points, I can use them how I choose to.

Ants! As soon as we got to our room after check-in, we discovered ants in the bathroom sink area and also on the nightstand. We were graciously given a different room, but on our second night there, noticed an ant in the bathroom again. We only saw the one in the second room, but if that scout ever finds something, I'd hate to see what happens next. Also, we had requested a late checkout of 2 pm, which we have received at other Hilton hotels, including other Homewood, but for some reason, this specific hotel would not allow anything past 1 pm, and NOT because they were busy (there were only a dozen cars in the parking lot our last night there). It would be nice to receive the same treatment given by other hotels in the same chain.

I was there for a quick in and out. I returned my rental car and called the hotel. Hotel needed to verify my reservation before sending a shuttle. Then tells me their shuttle driver has gone home and I need to take a cab. Mind you it was only 7:50 on a weeknight and this hotel is definitely airport hotel. So it's not horrible , but it is a process to get a cab. I was waiving for the cab , and he kind of just sat there. Finally he gets out and says I need to go and register my ride at the booth . So I did and it only took an extra few minutes. Didnt have breakfast and they ended the dinner event at 7:00. So no dinner. Morning shuttle was good, but how can you not have your own shuttle until at 11:00 pm.

Clean, spacious, comfortable. Eco and allergy/asthma friendly with helpful, welcoming staff. Best stay close to dsm airport- out of the construction! We moved to this hotel after horrible experience at nearby Baymont and had a safe, comfortable night.

We’re like this hotel, thank you so much!!! Everyone has nice and friendly, we’re filled are self welcome to, the interior inside nice and modern rooms are big and modern as well. I was surprised when I walked to the room and it’s huge inside.

My flight was cancelled so I reached out to cancel reservation so room available for others…. Hotel said I would have to call the next day to speak to a manager to get my non- refundable reservation waived. Called back, they sent me to corporate, corporate sent me to the hotel…. Long story short for $249 they lost a customer for life. I travel a ton and have relationships with many higher end hotels and have never been treated like this….Hilton is a chain folks should avoid at all costs!

We checked in late and the sleeper sofa wasn’t functional. There was a big dip in the middle and the bed isn’t flat. Tried getting in touch with the manager and had no luck escalated to Hilton directly. Manager not helpful. Makes sense why the staff is like they are because of him. Rooms not stocked like a normal Homewood Suites. No maid service and rude about late checkouts to our group. Don’t stay here stay somewhere else near the airport. Not Hilton standards

We had to do a last minute check in and they still made accommodations for us. They were Very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and had a lot of amenities and Nice sized rooms. Definitely recommend.

Booked a business trip to Des Moine but had to cancel due to illness. The cancellation request was beyond the 24 hr period. I spoke to Matthew (Asst GM) requesting a no charge cancellation but was denied per Matthew as he stated, "we are a stickler here at adhearing to policy." I am also a Diamond member with Hiton but Matthew didnt seem to care. This is the first time I have been charged for a room cancellation beyond the 24 hr period. So Ive put in a call to Achal the GM of the hotel and opened up a case with Hilton Honors to get my money back. I will never attempt to sta y here again. Matthew needs to become educated in customer service!
