Courtyard Deptford

Hotel was clean the desk lady Julie was great the only thing is the hotel is not worth 271 for a night it was a regular room with a microwave and a Lil refrigerator a TV nothing extra or special the hotel had a very small bar tht was open on Friday from 5p-1a nothing special the only thing down there tht was close to the hotel is Walmart is around the corner it's a friendly ice cream across the street about 13 miles away is a TGIF I know I went there so I didn't understand why it was so much what attractions did I miss ?

This is a basic of basic Courtyard…. That’s not my isssue. My is is charging guests in a Suburban location $10 to park in a big lot.. what does that say to me as a frequent traveler?? You are Nickle and Diming your guests. If I have to stay in the area I will not choose this property..

This is the letter I wrote to the manger of the property. It has been almost a week since you contacted me and I replied to your email. At the time I was very upset due to dealing with the issue of the bill not being correct. I am still dealing with that issue. I did want to address another issue with you. I wanted to let you know that out of all the staff members we dealt with the 4 days we were there only 3 people were kind to us. Terrance the manger we dealt with on day shift and the two gentlemen we spoke with on the night shift. Those three gentlemen were the best thing about our stay. House keeping I did not get the lady’s names but she cleaned our room the Wednesday we were there but then left clean towels on the door for us when we came back. Thank you! Thursday, we were with the wedding party in the lobby. We were in and out of our room most of the day. House keeping saw this and waited until we were in the room to ask if we wanted it cleaned or if we needed anything. Again thank you. The reason I bring that up is because in the middle of the day Terrance comes up to us and says I need to see you at the desk. I get up to the desk to find out my room had been checked out. This leads me back to the issue of booking the hotel to start with. I was hung up on several times just trying to change my original reservation from a king bed to a two bed room. I had to deal with the same person once I got to the hotel. I’m not sure I can spell her name correctly but she doesn’t speak English as her primary language. She is rude and not help to any guest as we witnessed. The other lady (if you want to call her that) we had issues with. Worked the morning of our event. Terrance had told us that the guys from the night before put the veggie and fruit trays in the fridge behind the bar. My sister and I walk over to the lady standing there and ask for them. She rolls her eyes at us and tells my sister I don’t know what you are talking about I don’t have them. My sister explains once again and the lady walks back to the fridge after rolling her eyes again. She opens the door to the fridge and there are the trays we asked for. I have stayed alot of hotels and not always Marriott’s but this was the worse experience for a Marriott I’ve ever had. Y’all don’t waste your money on this place. There are two hotels down the street.

So disappointing from Courtyard, a usually reliable Marriott brand!!! Room not stocked with enough towels nor bedding for the pull-out sofa bed…asked the front desk and was told no blankets or towels were available (all in the dryer…ummm ok?). The room was extremely hot/unable to adjust the temperature, and the heating system was extremely loud whenever it would kick on. Was not told at check-in that you must request housekeeping, so we unknowingly returned to an unmade room at 4pm. Bummer.

I was not happy that they charged 4.45 for a small bottle of purified water. It's just over the top of greed and trying to rip off a customer. I was at the bar and after paying for the water that was already rung up, I noticed FREE water with lemon available! The bartender said he got me when I asked for a bottle of water, yeah he sure did. Also I wanted to order fries, they were 10.00. Did not get them. Shame on you Marriott Courtyard in Deptford, NJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I arrrived yesterday and booking the room was fine. I then found out i had to pay 20.00 for parking which is crazy they didn’t even know if I had a car or took a Uber or got dropped off. Immediately I was charged. The morning of I called downstairs and they said breakfast was free. I get downstairs to look at the menu to find out it’s not. I’m not paying 13 dollars for an egg sandwich I’m like it’s fine I’ll go Wawa for all that. I’m just disappointed in this hotel. The bathroom tub was very much scraped of paint everywhere. Worst courtyard I didn’t even have washcloths in the room good thing I brought my own. I had to rebook because my dr office wasn’t far from here and if I left I would have to wait until 3 to check into another hotel but I’m not never coming back again. Beware

Check your final bill. We just got ours, and we were charged $15.90 per day, supposedly for parking, but that's not how it shows on the bill. We did park there, but when we checked in, we were not asked for our license plate or if we were using the parking lot; and that is not how the 15.90 showed up on our bill. It shows as "service fee". The hotel itself is fine as far as a place to sleep, but in the four nights we stayed there, we never got our room cleaned or bed made. We asked for clean towels and did get those once-- we came back to a bag of towels hanging on our door. We know housekeeping was in our room because our wet towels were gone, but nothing else was done. We stayed over Thanksgiving, and on that day, the bistro was understandably closed but there was no coffee available in the lobby until several customers complained and finally, they put out a coffee dispenser. We have stayed at less expensive hotels and gotten far better service with no added surprise "service fee" they say is a parking fee.
