This hotel was great, I stayed a couple of weeks on business. The front desk and staff including the house keeping were friendly and helpful. Staff made sure that my room stayed clean and nothing every came up missing out of my room which is a plus. They have a cook downstairs at the bar at certain times if you want a homemade burger or fries or something cooked. My only complaint was they didn't have complimentary breakfast, you have to pay for breakfast. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to go enjoy the indoor pool.

This is one of the cleaner hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. The room was clean and didn’t have any funky smells. The bathroom is dated but in good condition. Front desk staff very kind and professional. The staff at the bar/restaurant were very good as well. Although I must comment that food choices and quality is very limited and not somewhere I would choose to dine. The breakfast options and pastries looked alright but there are so many better options in Denton. (Check out Denton Square - many places to dine and/or have a cocktail. ). My only criticism is that the price I paid (nearly $200 per night) seems high to me for the type of hotel.

The hotel’s manager was a disgrace to the brand. Pedro was dismissive to his employees and rude to guests. He clearly did not like his job. The hotel itself is showing its age. With so many other options around, skip this one.

I initially enjoyed my stay in the Queen suite when I needed a room for my bachelorette night festivities. In the rush to get out of the door in the morning I accidentally left my jewelry box. I understand the hotel is not liable for items that were stolen once left, but beware!! Once I retrieved my box the next day my most precious ring was STOLEN! The other items in my box were clearly messed with while they were seeing what all they wanted to take. I am very disappointed in the quality of the staff they choose to employee and hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Please be sure to use the safes and be wary of the housekeepers! I’m sure this is not the first time they have stolen items from guests.

The check-in was quick and easy. The staff was courteous and professional. I went to purchase a bottle of water and offered to pay cash, the clerk said they could not accept cash but could charge it to my room. In which I did. The room was very comfortable and clean.

I arrived at noon on 2/9/23. Although I had received notice on my phone that my room was available for check in when I attempted to check in I was advised that new hotel policy is to charge me an additional day charge plus taxes eventhough my room was available. I was told to come back after 1:30pm. The desk manager was apologetic as it is a new policy recently put in place by the new GM. Why send me a message that my room is ready for check in but not tell me I will be charged for an additional night? It is now the evening of the 13th and I check out in the morning. MY ROOM HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED DURING MY WHOLE STAY! I was in town for a wedding so I was in and out. Yesterday afternoon I caught the housekeeper and was told that her schedule was to only clean check outs and I am not on the list. She was very helpful and provided me clean towels. She said I could try to ask the front desk but since it was the end of the day...... I expected to have the room cleaned today while I was out. SURPRISE NOTHING CLEANED. I was told my room would be cleaned every other day. I have stayed at Marriott's around the world and prefer them due to the fact that Marriott's employees go out of their way to make every guests experience the best. Well this one was memorable but not to be repeated. I will contact Marriott corporation to advise them of how this property is not up to their standards.

This review is based on the two rooms I stayed in during my visit to Courtyard Denton from 8/24/22 - 8/28 (I actually left night of 8/27). In order to best explain my reaction, I will also share my experience from my stay at Courtyard Denton from 1/10/21 - 1/11/21. 1/10/21 - 1/11/21 visit: Little black bugs crawling on bathroom floor 8/24/22- 8/27/22: (room 1) Bathroom floor had loose floor tiles 8/27/22 - 8/27/22: (room 2) - initial inspection of room: little black spots around back of toilet ( I actually have no idea what this was and didn’t think to investigate further. I didn’t see anything moving and hoped that it wasn’t dead insects) - After returning to room and preparing to take shower (around 9:30 pm): I saw spot on floor that was moving. I took a video and watched it to verify that it was a bug. I don’t expect much from these types of hotels. I just want a reasonably clean place to stay with no bugs that can’t be easily explained (like crickets coming in through the door from outside). Unfortunately Courtyard Denton did not meet my expectations during my visit twice. I stayed at the Courtyard at Denton last minute on 1/10/21 Since I did not want to drive home at night in the snow. I actually don’t remember much from this stay besides seeing black dots (bugs) moving around on bathroom floor. There were not a lot of them, but enough to freak me out. I decided not to stay at Courtyard at Denton during my next visit to Denton. I unfortunately stayed at a place that was worse than Courtyard on my next visit to Denton. I had stayed at the Courtyard at Denton previously without any issues. I really like the area where this hotel is located. So when making the decision on where to stay for my August 2022 visit I picked Courtyard at Denton. In glancing at reviews I didn’t see any complaints similar to what I saw in January 2021. So I gave Courtyard at Denton another try. I inspected my initial room and wiped it down. The only complaint worth mentioning for the first room was that it had loose floor tiles (made sound and moved when stepping on the loose ones). Besides issues communicating with front desk (I was unsure how long I was staying in Denton so made multiple reservations and made changes to some), I was enjoying my stay at Courtyard Denton. I unfortunately had to move to a different room on my last night. I was hoping that I would have another bug free room! I inspected and wiped down the new room. The only thing concerning that I saw were little black spots behind toilet. I didn’t see anything moving and decided not to get to close. I left room to get some exercise at a different location. After working out, I grabbed dinner and returned to room. After eating quickly, I went to bathroom to look around before taking a shower. I noticed black spots on floor. At least one moved. I freaked out and got my phone to make sure I wasn’t imagining things. I checked out video and saw that it was a bug. I then ca
