"Nanshe surprised us pleasantly in many ways. First the owner of the homestay came personally to pick us up from the high speed rail station and did an introduction of the Datong old city on the way to the homestay. She is very friendly and took great care of us throughout the 3 days we stayed with them. The caretaker of the homestay is also a gem. She took care of all our outbound travels from Datong and even helped to coordinate the courier of my left-behind charger from the previous hotel in Beijing. When we had to leave early for outbound tours, they even packed breakfast for us to take with us. So a big kudos to the Nanshe premium stay and their top notch staff for making our stay in Datong such an enjoyable one. We will be back again!"

"Die Hardware dieses B&B kann mit der von All Seasons/Atour Hotels verglichen werden und erreicht etwa 80% deren Standards; die Software, insbesondere der Service des Empfangs am ersten Tag, erreicht vielleicht nicht einmal 20%. Es fehlt sowohl die ”Wärme der Kommunikation”, die man in einem B&B erwartet, als auch die ”Professionalität” der Hotelbranche:
1. Um halb vier nachmittags, frisch vom Flugzeug, als ich wichtige Dinge auf meinem Handy erledigte, rief das Hotel mehrmals hintereinander an. Nachdem ich aufgelegt hatte, riefen sie immer noch an. Ich dachte, es sei etwas Wichtiges. Nach dem Abheben wollten sie nur wissen: Wann ich im Hotel ankomme? Und falls ich den Weg nicht wüsste, solle ich WeChat hinzufügen, um den Standort zu senden. Ich fragte sehr verärgert: Müssen Sie denn um vier Uhr schon Schluss machen? Die Antwort war: Das ist unser Standard-Serviceablauf.
Das legte den Grundstein für eine Reihe von Kommunikationsproblemen, die den ”Charakter des Service” dieses Hotels prägen.
2. Nach meiner Ankunft im Hotel hatte ich meinen Personalausweis nicht dabei. Basierend auf früheren Erfahrungen schlug ich vor, meine elektronischen Identitätsinformationen auf Alipay oder meinen Reisepass vorzuzeigen. Dies wurde jedoch vom Empfang abgelehnt. Man sagte, ich müsste ein Foto meines Personalausweises über WeChat senden, damit sie sich Zeit nehmen könne, es langsam zu registrieren. Während der Registrierung erwähnte die Mitarbeiterin dreimal, dass sie extra Zeit aufwenden müsse, um meine Informationen zu registrieren (Was sollte ich tun? Immer wieder danken oder mich entschuldigen?).
3. Bei den Frühstücksgutscheinen bestand man darauf, mir jeden Tag nur einen zu geben. Ich blieb sieben Tage, finden Sie das nicht umständlich? Soll ich jeden Tag kommen, um sie zu holen, oder bringen Sie sie mir jeden Tag pünktlich? Warum lässt man die Gäste nicht selbst entscheiden? Es ist doch dasselbe. Am nächsten Tag, als ich mit dem Fahrrad (sehr gut, das B&B stellt Fahrräder zur Verfügung) vor dem Frühstücksende um 11 Uhr zum Frühstück eilen musste, vergaß ich den Gutschein vom Vortag. Ich sprach mit der Rezeption und bat sie, der Dame im Restaurant Bescheid zu geben, dass ich ihn nach meiner Rückkehr ins B&B abgeben würde. Auch hier war die Angelegenheit sehr ärgerlich: 1) Erstens ist das Frühstück an einem anderen Ort, man muss zwei Straßen überqueren, fünf Minuten mit dem Fahrrad oder acht Minuten zu Fuß. 2) Zweitens sah die Umgebung des Restaurants so aus, als ob sie lange nicht gereinigt worden wäre, es gab einen unangenehmen Geruch, und andere Gäste im Laden rauchten und spielten Videos laut ab. 3) Und schließlich, das Wichtigste, das Frühstück war nicht gut, fast kalt, und es waren Haare in der Suppe (auf Fotos anderer Gäste sah es sehr reichhaltig aus, ich hatte mich sehr darauf gefreut). Ich verzichtete ganz auf das Frühstück für die restlichen sechs Tage.
Nach dem Frühstück kehrte ich ins B&B zurück und klärte mit der Rezeption: 1) Ich benötige in diesen Tagen keinen Zimmerservice, ich brauche jetzt ein paar Flaschen Wasser, ohne anzuklopfen. 2) Ich werde später den Frühstücksgutschein abgeben.
Das Ergebnis war, dass ich gerade duschte, als die Mitarbeiterin zweimal anklopfte, um Wasser zu bringen. Ich antwortete, sie solle es vor die Tür stellen. Weniger als eine Minute später klopfte auch die Rezeptionistin vehement an die Tür, so dass ich zur Tür gehen musste, um zu antworten. Ich dachte, es sei wieder etwas Wichtiges, aber ich war wirklich wütend, so oft gestört zu werden. Später sah ich eine Nachricht auf WeChat, die besagte, sie hätte es in der Gruppe geklärt?? Eine so wichtige Angelegenheit einfach in einem Chat zu erwähnen, ohne klare Subjekt-Verb-Objekt-Struktur, und mich raten zu lassen, dass ”in der Gruppe geklärt” bedeutet, ich bräuchte den Frühstücksgutschein nicht mehr abzugeben. Das ist wirklich nervig!
Das ist der Service, den ich in weniger als einem Tag Aufenthalt erlebt habe? Danach habe ich so gut es ging versucht, weiteren Kontakt und Kommunikation zu vermeiden. Aber selbst nach meiner Erinnerung sprachen die Rezeption und das Personal mehrmals am Vormittag laut?
Der Aufenthalt war sehr anstrengend, und die Rezeption schaute jeden Tag nur auf den Computer und tat so, als ob sie nichts sehen würde. So unangenehm habe ich eine Woche lang gelebt.
Das grundlegendste Problem hierbei ist das Fehlen von Schulungen für die Mitarbeiter durch die Hotelleitung, anstatt zu erwarten, dass die Mitarbeiter diese Professionalität von selbst entwickeln."

✨Die Umgebung hier ist hochwertig. Wenn wir vor dem Sichtfenster im Aufzugsraum stehen, haben wir einen Panoramablick auf die wunderschöne Landschaft der antiken Stadt Datong.
🌞Nach einem Tag voller Spaß am Tag kehrte ich abends in die Hoteltoilette zurück, um ein gemütliches Bad zu nehmen🛀, das die Müdigkeit und harte Arbeit des Tages einfach dahinschmelzen ließ🥱.
🙏Besonderer Dank geht an die Freizeitabteilung für ihren hervorragenden Service, sie ist so rücksichtsvoll💖!

"Zuhause fühlen.
Die Lage ist gut, auf der anderen Straßenseite liegt die antike Stadt, gegenüber dem Huayan-Tempel und nur zehn Minuten von mehreren großen, altehrwürdigen Internet-Prominenten entfernt.
Das Zimmer ist ordentlich und sauber und verfügt über eine kleine Terrasse. Es ist ein einzigartiges Gefühl, dort zu sitzen und Tee zu trinken, während man den Huayan-Tempel und den Verkehr unten beobachtet. Es ist ein Duplex, wenn man nachts auf die Toilette geht.
Die Umgebung ist sehr gut, man kann im Atrium sitzen und Tee trinken und es gibt viele kleine Tiere, vor allem die beiden Pfauen🦚, die oft ihren Schwanz öffnen, um anzugeben.
Der Service ist gut, der Chef und die Dame sind sehr nett und können jeden Servicewunsch erfüllen. Im Atrium gibt es kostenlose chinesische Kostüme, die man anziehen und fotografieren kann, was sich sehr gut zum Filmen eignet.
Geeignet für Familien- und Freundesausflüge."

Nr.4 in Premium Hotels in Datong"Great 3 night stay. It's a very short Didi ride from DaTong South Railway station. It's right next to the DaTong Ancient City area. It's a close walk but the entrances for the walled city are all in the middle section of each wall. It's walkable but it's also easy to rent a bike or take a 7 rmb Didi to the main area. I couldn't find any convenience stores close but I was ok without them. You can also have things delivered to the hotel and the robot will bring it to your room.
Room was great. Big, clean and comfortable. Pillows were also good. Had a view of the old town which was nice at night. I traveled in April. It was warm in the room because I think only the heat works that time of year. I tried the AC but didn't seem to cool the room. They had two windows you could open. It was around 0C at night so it cools down the room enough to sleep comfortably if you don't like sleeping in a warm room. Shower had strong water pressure. Towels and toiletries good.
The shuttle bus stop is very close to the hotel too. You can take shuttles to some of the tourist attractions outside the city. They shuttles are cheap and convenient. Less than 10 minute walk I think or a 2 minute Didi ride. It's the ”DaTong ancient city” stop.
The buffet breakfast was good. They had a big variety of western, Chinese and local foods to eat. One day breakfast was on the 3rd floor and the other days it was on the 28th floor when it was busier.
They put snacks and fruit everyday. Actually good snacks, I ate all of them everyday. I was also sick with a cough. The worker must have noticed the first day in the hallway. That night when I came back I had a handwritten note and a pear tea to help with my cold. They provided the same the following night. I really appreciated that.
Overall was a great stay. I'd definitely stay there again if I go back to DaTong. I'd recommend staying there."
