I'm going to give my honest review about Gold Tulip Resort in Dar es Salaam. This should not be a 4 Star Hotel it should be a 2.5 - 3 Star. My husband and I stayed at this location from 02/02/23 - 02/10/23. The driver for the hotel picked my husband and I up from the airport very nice man. I would like to talk about the Pro's and Con's of this place. Con's Finally arriving at our destination I was so confused and disturbed by how unpleasant it looked in the back of the building. The inside of the receptionist lobby was very clean and it smelled amazing. It was nice and cool. Taking the elevator to the 16th floor was extremely hot. They should install an air conditioning system or a fan inside of the elevator because it's very hot an muggy. My husband and I stayed in room 1606. The room was nice and spacious. Several things I did not like about the room. 1. TV was really small and it wasn't directly in the middle where it should've been. 2. No sports station only in the restaurant on the 20th and 21st floor which was super annoying. You're not able to enjoy your stay and watch sports in your room. 3. On February 9th it stormed and my husband and I were asleep. The sound of the thunder and lightening woke me up. I tried going back to sleep but I kept hearing rain drops which sounded as if it the rain was dropping onto the floor. I get up at 3am and check and low and behold the window seal was completely drenched and water was also on the floor. How is this possible??? They need to do some immediate work on their windows because this is extremely dangerous. 4. Bathroom was very unpleasant looking. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. No matter how many times the housekeeper came to clean the inside of the toilet where the water refills was so corded with rust. Everytime we flushed the water was brown. That was disgusting. It really bothers me when I needed to shower water would get all over the floor because there was no door to keep the water inside the shower. The existing glass door that's there water gets underneath it and gets all over the floor. Water temperature takes time to get hot. 5. Air conditioner unit is horrible and they need to replace all of them in each room. For this place to charge so much money they can afford to upgrade the air conditioning unit, TV, TV Stations, Glass door for shower, toilets, etc... 6. My husband and I ate at their restaurant almost everyday. The prices of their breakfast is ridiculous because the food they have for all you can eat wasn't pleasant. To charge what they charge is a bit outrageous. The drinks they have out are NEVER and I mean NEVER iced cold. When you ask them for ice it's always a hassle to get because their machine doesn't always work. It's really hot in the morning and not having an iced cold beverage is annoying. Dinner Menu I got really bored with. First thing I ordered on their menu was Chicken Tom Yom Soup. When I tell you this soup was no where near Tom Yom.soup. It tasted not

Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, der Strand ist draußen, kostenlose Parkplätze, Flughafentransfers sind kostenpflichtig, was in den Vororten liegt. Dieses Hotel bietet Full-Service-Einrichtungen, darunter Massage, Fitness, Schwimmen, Karaoke usw. und allgemeine englische Konversation!

Anlagen: veraltet Gesundheit: Es ist ähnlich wie ein normales altes Hotel im Inland, aber insgesamt ist sauber und der Balkon ist auch bequem, Umgebung: Ruhe, muslimische Chef, Hotel ohne Wein Das Zimmer muss das Meer sehen! Der Pool ist offen und es gibt viele Menschen! Das Frühstück ist nicht zu essen, aber man kann die Landschaft sehen, man kann Kaffee trinken und die Landschaft sehen! Dienst: langsam, aber immer gelöst!

This place has gone down a lot. After over 20 years of staying here on different occasions this time was definitely the last time. First I enquired about vacancy via their website contact form to which I never got a response. Then getting nervous I wrote a second enquiry about availability and prices to the reservation email. Hours later I got a confirmation of the booking (which I hadn't made so far). Already on checkin they proudly presented me with ”my requested room” which wasn't the one I had asked for (they misread my email). Anyway, my request couldn't be accommodated (seaview/higher floor) so I stayed with what I was given. Very tired after about 20 hrs of travel. Then the live music started at the Thai restaurant. Meanwhile the fridge was rattling like a dala dala because there was so much ice build-up (see photo). I needed to pull out the fridge to reach the plug and while I was at it I defrosted the fridge over night. There was also a lot of noise harassment from reception area during the night. Seems to echo up the hallway. The next day they offered to shift to another room but I wasn't prepared to pack and unpack again. However, I should have (they could have given me a warning!) as the second night there was yet more live music, this time on the hotel terrace in front of my window. Full blast TV plus aircon could not drown the incredible noise until 23:00. They even slipped a paper under the door ”sorry for inconvenience”. That was two nights with hardly any chance of sleep. Asking for a late checkout (afternoon) to catch up with some much needed sleep before another 24 hrs of travel ahead just prompted very unpleasant and unprofessional communications with a nice but not very competent lady at reception. Supposedly no manager around (it's weekend?!). Then after yet another enquiry I was supposed to pay full price for a couple of hours extension, then was offered 10% discount on full rate, then was offered 80usd, then 60usd. Is this a bazaar? The lady at reception never got back at me (supposedly she phoned the room, however the phone never rang - maybe that's also not working? and why not send someone up if clearly the guest was waiting for an answer?). They need some training in communications and I can't believe there is no manager with decision making competence over the weekend?!? Zero goodwill shown after two nights of incredible party noise. It seems to be no problem to check in hours before regular checkin but there is no grace for checking out a few hours later. Not even after hotel related sleep deprivation. Now sitting in the hallway writing this review, the receptionist came with the phone....... manager wants to talk to me?!? Where was he/she during the last 24 hrs? Luckily there are many other good options in the area meanwhile but this experience leaves a very bitter taste after so many years of staying here.

Die Lage ist weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt und der Preis ist relativ günstig. Außerhalb des Hotels sind relativ schäbige Gegenden, aber auch der allgemeine Entwicklungsstand von Tansania ist durchschnittlich, so dass es nicht viele wirklich gute Gegenden gibt. Die hygienischen Bedingungen sind durchschnittlich und die Tischdecken im Restaurant sind fleckig. Im Allgemeinen ist das Niveau der inländischen Express-Hotels in Ordnung, aber es wird nicht für hohe Lebensbedingungen empfohlen.

Wir wollten uns für einen Tag etwas erholen und buchten ein Appartement mit 2 Schlafzimmern und Küche. Das Appartement ist sehr schön und groß mit tollen Betten. Perfekt für Familien geeignet. Eine super tolle Einbauküche mit einem großen Kühlschrank. Aber das war schon das positive an der Küche. Keinerlei Teller oder ähnliches. Es gab einen Wasserkocher aber nur 2 Tassen und 2 Gläser und einen Löffel. Es gab 1 kleine Tüte löslichen Kaffee und 2 Tüten schwarzen Tee und Zucker, den man nicht richtig aus dem Papier bekam. Für so ein großes Appartement geht das nicht. Der Strand ist superschön und der große Pool auch. Da wir aber leider Sonntags hier waren, gab es sehr viele Tagesgäste, welche sich nicht so gut benahmen. Der große Pool war voll von den Familien. Der gesamte Poolbereich war dreckig. Es lagen lauter Getränkebecher usw rum. Mein Mann hatte zum Glück Flip Flops an, am Poolbereich trat er in so eine Pinnadel. Ohne Schuhe wäre das böse ausgegangen. Unsere Kinder wollten was essen. Wir bekamen kalte Pommes und der Mann wollte meinen Mann 1000 Schilling mehr ”abknöpfen” obwohl der Preis angegeben war. Er reagierte etwas säuerlich als mein Mann ihm das sagte. Es geht nicht um die paar Cents aber um die Art und Weise. Wir gingen dann zum Abend auf den langen Steg. Auch dieser war richtig dreckig mit lauter Papier und Bechern. Wirklich super traurig. Wir bestellen uns Essen aufs Zimmer. Dieses schmeckte sehr gut. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war super und sehr reichhaltig. Der Poolbereich war jetzt auch sauber. Alles in einem ein schönes Hotel mit sehr netten Angestellten ( außer den einen Angestellten beim Pommes Kauf am Pool), nur nicht am Wochenende zu empfehlen. Vielleicht sollte man auf bestimmte Tagesgäste verzichten, bzw darauf achten, dass diese sich nicht wie auf der Straße benehmen und überall ihren Müll hinschmeißen. Das haben wir bisher noch in keinem Hotel erlebt und das hätte man hier nie erwartet.

Wegen des späten Flugzeugs ist die Stadt der Ankunft über Nacht, verwirrt, ins Hotel gekommen, es gibt keinen fantastischen Luxus, aber auch keine Elegance. Die Plattform hat eine Doppelbettschätzung, die das Hotel voll ist. Es gibt große Betten + kleine Betten lol, obwohl einige Brüder nicht sehr seltsam sind, haha ～ Die Behandlung des Aufenthalts dauert etwas länger. Das Zimmer ist sauber, Wasser und Buffet sollten alle sein. Da die Nachtsitzungen bis zum Morgen des Morgens stattfinden, ist es weniger als drei Stunden, um aufzustehen, und das Frühstück ist immer noch gut, um den Müdigkeitszustand zu trösten, ist es auch eine Entschädigung. Das allgemeine Gefühl ist gut, der Preis ist etwas hoch, aber die Unterkunft ist OK, sehr nahe am Hafen, wir fahren morgens nach San Island, das Hotel kommt zum Hafen nur 5 Minuten, es ist auch bequem!

Große Atmosphäre und Kundenservice. Datenschutz und Frieden im Arbeitsleben. Große WLAN-Verbindung und alle Einrichtungen, die Sie für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigen. Super freundliches Personal bereit, Ihnen in jeder Hinsicht zu helfen, tägliche Reinigung des Zimmers. Sie haben ACs in einem sehr geräumigen Zimmer, das Badezimmer ist mit einem Haartrockner und einem zusätzlichen Spiegel ausgestattet. Es gibt einen Dachstuhl und Pool für Erwachsene und Kinder.

Das Hotel ist zwar etwas älter allerdings gut gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Zimmer entsprechen dem europäischen Standard. einziger Mangel sind die nicht 100% Insektensicheren Netzte an den Fenstern so dass sich Nachts ab und an doch ein Moskito ins Zimmer verirrt(wenn man mit Klimaanlage schläft kein Problem). Und im Zimmer gab es keine Rauchmelder, Halterung zwar vorhanden aber das Gerät fehlte. Das Personal war super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden wieder kommen. Preis/Leistungsmässig das beste Hotel was wir in Dar bisher hatten

I stay in a deluxe room for two weeks. I checked the deluxe room on the official website. My deluxe room seems to be missing a lot. For example, there is no refrigerator. The accommodation fee is 80 USD, but this quality is not good. I plan to request the installation of a refrigerator at the front desk. But I think I'll give up.
