XXNYLMy friend and I enjoyed our stay in the 'Yunxi 270° Seaview Terrace Double Bed Room' at Dali.Muxi Inn (大理木兮·半山Villa海景民宿). We found this hotel via reviews on XiaoHongShu and the room looked exactly like the stock photos. The hotel and room were beautiful, the hotel staff were very helpful, and we would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Dali and are looking for a hotel with an amazing view of Dali Erhai lake.
Number of nights of stay: 3 nights
Hotel location: The hotel is situated in a quiet but brightly lit residential/hotel estate at the end of winding uphill road (around the Dreamland/Santorini 圣托里尼大理理想邦 area), and is located about 20 minutes away from Dali Railway Station. The vehicle drop-off point is directly outside the hotel. The restaurants around the hotel close at about 8.30pm-9pm
Room: The 'Yunxi 270° Seaview Terrace Double Bed Room' is the only room located on the fifth floor. There is a lift in the hotel so it was convenient to transport our luggage. The room was perfect - it was really spacious, beautiful and clean. There was one king-sized bed, which was slightly too soft for my liking, but the pillows (one soft and one firmer memory foam pillow for each guest) were comfortable. There was a large living area with a sofa, three coffee tables and two additional chairs; balcony with two comfortable rocking chairs, a coffee table and a stunning view of the Erhai lake. The sky roof, when opened, was pretty in the daytime but it was difficult to see the stars at night due to the light pollution from the nearby buildings. The open concept wardrobe was large enough for us to hang our clothes
Bathroom: Two sinks, separate shower and toilet area, one jacuzzi. Toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner and body soap), disposable toothbrush/toothpaste, rubber bathroom slippers and disposable bedroom slippers were provided. The shower had both a handheld shower head and rain shower, with good water pressure and temperature
Hotel amenities: Complimentary breakfast (from 8.30am-10.30am; delicious spread of noodles with soup, porridge, fried egg, bread and vegetable platter) and afternoon tea (Lotus Biscoff biscuits, yoghurt, fruits and plums); cafe at the reception area is opened during office hours and only sells beverages; beautiful reception area with a friendly and gentle 5-year-old house cat; communal washing machine (free of charge, inclusive of laundry detergent)

Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

SSongmingyuIch habe am Tag vor meiner Abreise aus Dali in einem Hotel mit Meerblick übernachtet. Vom Balkon aus konnte ich den endlosen Meerblick genießen. Ich hatte eine weite Aussicht und eine angenehme Stimmung. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und ordentlich. Die Gesamtdekoration war sehr passend für junge Leute. Die Vorräte stammten von relativ guten Marken. Das Team im Laden besteht aus mehreren begeisterten jungen Leuten. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Abhol- und Bringservice vom Flughafen, ein reichhaltiges Frühstück und die Schalldämmung ist sehr gut. Ich werde dieses Geschäft das nächste Mal wählen.

Weil unsere Kinder leichter allergisch sind, ist es besser aufmerksam. Die Gesundheit ist sehr gut hier, die Bettwäsche ist sauber und das gesamte Zimmer hat einen Sonnenluftat, insbesondere im Hügel des Whirlpools ist kein Wasser. Unser Zimmer ist sehr gut. Sie können das Meer des Huangs sehen (Fotos werden auf der Volksrestaurant gemacht), Sie können oft eine Gruppe von Vögeln sehen, die fliegen. Die Lage des Huangs ist in der Tat sehr nahe der Altstadt, die Märzstraße ist auch sehr nahe, und die Nacht schlafen und ruhig. Die Chefs der Volksbevölkerung sind sehr gut, sorgen sich für die gute, wir werden etwas mit unseren Problemen aktiv und rechtzeitig lösen und auch ein gutes Frühstücksportal. Vielen Dank für die Pflege für einige Tage! Bitte erinnern Sie sich am Ende an Dali! MM503663****Die Erfahrung bei AnYu war perfekt. Das Hotel befindet sich in der alten Stadt. Taxi/Uber kann direkt vor dem Eingang des Hotels parken, im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen alten Stadthotels müssen von der Hauptstraße, die unglaublich bequem ist, zu Fuß gehen.
Der ”Nanyang-Stil” Dekorstil ist retro und göttlich. Jedes einzelne Stück der Möbel und Dekorartikel ist schön ausgewählt, auch mit dem Feuer-Differenzierbox! Ausgezeichnete Atmosphäre, BOSE Musiksystem ist überall im Gebäude. Dyson Haartrockner, verschiedene Art von Ladekabeln in der besten Seitentafel, jede Einzelheit reflektiert die Bedenklichkeit.
Von exquisitem Nachmittagsthee, Nachtsnack (Bröd von weißem Pilz oder heißem Milch), bis zum „fein essen“ Frühstück, jedes Detail wurde perfekt und alle komplimentar.

You can see Cangshan and erhai from the apartment. There's not a lot of food places around as the apartment is on a small mountain apartment complex. However ordering take out is very convenient from your room. Overall a great stay.

GGastnutzerWe really enjoyed our stay here! The location is ideal — just a 5–10 minute walk from the ancient town. In our opinion, it’s the perfect distance: close enough to reach easily, yet far enough to avoid the crowds. It also made it much easier for us to request a Didi or taxi, since ride services aren’t available inside the ancient town itself.
The homestay reached out to us a day before our arrival and kindly offered a free pickup from the train station or airport. We sent over our train details, and a car was waiting for us right when we arrived.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very modern. The owners and staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We loved the complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning and the free desserts in the evening. They even provided fresh apples and walnuts for guests to enjoy anytime.
It rained during our visit, and the front desk was happy to lend us umbrellas, which we really appreciated.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dali!

GGastnutzerDer Ort ist sehr schön mit einem schönen Blick auf den See Erhai. Wir buchten das Zimmer mit dem privaten Außenbad und es war absolut erstaunlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor der Ankunft haben sie uns auf der Bahnhofsstation geholt und für uns eine WeChat-Gruppe geschaffen, so dass wir vor, während und sogar nach dem Aufenthalt alle Fragen stellen konnten. Sie haben uns auch dabei geholfen, einen Fahrer zu buchen, um uns zu unserem nächsten Halt in Yunnan zu führen. Das Gebiet befindet sich auf der sogenannten Regenbogenstraße. Es ist ziemlich und schön, aber es gibt auch Restaurants rund um, um schöne Abendessen und Getränke zu genießen. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen, auch für Ausländer.
