Auberge du Raisin

Divine! Loved our huge top floor suite under the rafters. Clean and romantic looking out the window over the rooftops of the village. We were in room #36 Syrah. Warm welcome. Internet connections were extremely unreliable and sweet receptionists were constantly assisting us. There is no designated parking for the hotel so you may need to get creative. We did not eat in the Auberge restaurant so can’t comment on that, but do encourage you to book dinner reservations wherever you choose as the restaurants we visited were very full. The hotel is within easy walking distance of any place in the village. Train station took us for a day trip to Lausanne. We also hiked to the neighboring wine village of Epesses. A fantastic stay on the lake!

It has been weeks since we left the exquisite Auberge Du Raisin, and I still think about our magical visit, wishing I were still there. Our large, beautiful room and bathroom were so comfortable and well-appointed. The amount of space we had is unusual in Europe. The housekeepers kept everything so clean and the hotel itself is decorated beautifully. What really made our experience stand out was the incredible help of Ilenia during our week-long stay. Whatever we needed, she was there to help us. Nothing was too much to ask and she was always warm, caring, and generous. We also appreciated Jean-Luis, the restaurant manager, who was also so kind, generous and helpful towards us. We grew to love both of these special people who helped to make our stay so meaningful. The town of Cully is a feast for the eyes, with some great restaurants and lovely places to explore. The hotel is very close to the train so you can visit a nearby city if you have the urge. If you rent a car, know that there is a charge to park during the day (not at night) and finding parking can be a challenge. This is not just Cully but also other places we visited in Switzerland. Finally, if you are arriving at the hotel on a Sunday or Monday, make sure you ask beforehand where you will need to check in, as the hotel is closed on those days. We made some friends in Lausanne, who invited us to stay at their home in the future. I thanked them but said we will ONLY stay at Auberge Du Raisin. That's our home.

Je commence par le positif.. chambre spacieuse et propre... attention aucune climatisation...literie très bonne..après aucun parking prévu.. hôtel fermé deux jours semaine..ce qui veut dire que vous y êtes ..vous payez..reception limitee..sans les commodités.. déjeuner à 20 francs suisses dans une brasserie à 100 m de là.. désolé..si je vais à l'hôtel c'est pas pour commencer à aller prendre mon petit déjeuner au bistrot du coin et pour payer votre note finale.. idem..vous devez aller au bistrot du coin. Après un road-trip en Suisse de cinq jours... nous avons terminé sur une note négative. Seul point positif..un bon petit restaurant Grec juste en face avec du personnel avenant qui sait profiter des jours de fermeture de son collègue d'en face.

Venu dîner un soir entre collègues professionnel . Un vrai plaisir. Service agréable et mets délicieux ! Les cuissons des produits bien travaillés ! Choix des vins agréable En conclusion .. un pépin de raisin devenu..une pépite.

C'est à l'occasion des festivités prolongées sur 3 jours (si si ... (;o)) que nous aurons le privilège de passer la seconde nuit de notre mariage dans une énorme suite à l'étage. La literie est très confortables et la plus que spacieuse salle d'eau vous offre la variante bain en baignoire ancienne sur pieds ou l'option cabine de douches pour les prompts rafraîchissements en cette période caniculaire. Les améangements sont d'un autre temps et frisent le style rococo, permettant ainsi de passer le plus agréable des moments dans l'atmosphère apaisante de cette bâtisse séculaire. L'endroit avère une tranquilité absolue et tout y est dispensé pour que vous y passiez un excellent séjour.

C'est à l'occasion d'un mariage que nous avons posé nos valises dans cet hôtel très cosy. Nous avions la suite sous les toits, chambre immense avec une hauteur sous plafond d'au moins 4 mètres, poutres apparentes et dans le style de la bâtisse de l'époque. Cela change des hôtels modernes actuels et donne une atmosphère très agréable. Nous devions y séjourner une nuit mais la fête a été si belle et longue que nous avons prolongé tout le week-end. Nous remercions vivement le maître des lieux pour son hospitalité, sa disponibilité et son écoute ainsi que nous avoir réservé à la dernière minute une chambre pour prolonger notre séjour. Un petit clin d'oeil amical aussi pour l'invitation de fin de soirée à "La Buvette" où nous avons passé un très bon moment à échanger. Si vous devez choisir un lieu pour votre prochain séjour n'hésitez pas à choisir cet établissement (ou Le Major Davel = même propriétaire) qui est situé au bord du lac et dans une petite ville charmante.
