Caerwylan Hotel

This was my third stay at the Caerwylan, which says plenty in itself. The welcome is always genuinely friendly with check in that is quick and efficient. The rooms are comfortable and a very good size, with spacious bathroom. They are very clean and the service is always good. The breakfasts are excellent, with lots of choice of both hot and cold food. The food quality is also excellent and it is nicely cooked and with quick and friendly service. The view from my chosen room was very nice, looking up towards Criccieth's impressive castle but if you decide on a room at the front of the hotel (which I have done previously), the view across Ceredigion bay towards Harlech and beyond is spectacular. The separate off-road parking was much appreciated and only a few dozen steps from the hotel. I can highly recommend the Caerwylan.

This hotel is truly a little gem, 7 of us came to stay over the bank holiday, to celebrate the life of my mum who sadly passed away in March. It’s was an amazing stay the staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky enough to stay in an executive sea view room, these are massive and have a seating area with the most unbelievable view. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was just exemplary and very reasonably priced. It was the first time staying in Criccieth, after the stay it certainly won’t be the last.

A brilliant hotel. In a perfect location overlooking the promenade and the sea, very well furnished, rooms and common areas both first class and fine food served in the restaurant. The icing on the cake was the very pleasant and helpful staff.

We Had the best time at the Caerwylan Regardless of the 4 hour drive from Cardiff, the Hotel and staff were very welcoming and friendly 😀 the food from the restaurant was excellent 👌 we will stay again next year. A special thank you to Abigail she was an absolute star.

The hotel was lovely. The room had an amazing sea view and we enjoyed watching people on the beach with their dogs while having a coffee. Bed and pillows were comfy. Even the loo had a view! Breakfast was great and a good menu to choose from. Staff were really helpful. No parking at hotel but can park along seafront with steps access

Our 6th visit, like coming home…. Many thanks to Dom, Laura and the rest of the team. , although we are now missing one of us due to a family bereavement , this hotel has a very special place in our hearts, regrettably we will no longer be visiting twice a year, be assured we will be back next October for the wonderful views, the amazing food and the very warm welcome

We have just returned from our sixth stay in this wonderful hotel and to be honest, there simply aren’t enough superlatives to describe it. From the moment we checked in once again we were treated like old friends returning. We couldn’t have been made more welcome. We stayed in room 26, which is a little more expensive than a standard room, but the view is amazing. What we did at the end of each evening (and I would highly recommend doing this), is to take a glass of our favourite tipple back to your room and sit with the lights off and just look out to sea, we were fortunate enough to have had clear nights where we could see across the Harlech with the castle all lit up. But on previous visits there have been storms where we watched waves crashing into the sea wall, awesome. Anyway, back to the hotel itself, the lounge area is so relaxing with copious amount of comfy chairs, the bar is always well stocked with all the whiskeys, wines, gins and beers you could wish for, and the restaurant is outstanding, the food is prepared, cooked and served to an extremely high standard. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, in the morning there’s the breakfast. I highly recommend the full Welsh. You will struggle to find better. Anyway, a massive thanks to Dom, Laura, Lauren and the team for making our stay wonderful again, and we will definitely see you again next year.

Stayed for a week with my brother and our wives as a great base to explore the castles, steam railways, mountains and beaches of N. wales. Caerwylan is well located for touring and has wonderful views over the town and beach. Restaurant is excellent, we stayed 6 nights and did not tire of the menu. Everything was well prepared and imaginatively presented. Unusually good wine selection too. Cheerful friendly staff were ever attentive.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is beautifully decorated and very very comfortable indeed. The view from our bedroom window is one of the most stunning views I have ever had - sea with mountains behind it. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the staff are excellent. We will definitely return - again and again!
