The George Hotel

3月18日入住。去年路過時看到這個酒店位置在小鎮中心，感覺方便。結果入住後問題： 1. 叫Lisa的經理不信任我的Bank of America信用卡（我全球都用這張卡，很順利），細節不展開了，非常不愉快； 2. 衞生很差，毛巾很重的腳臭味！完全不能用！ 3. 付費後的早餐不會主動提供熱食，直到我主動要求（和英國其他同類型酒店差太多）。

When we checked in the room was cold and very small compared to photos. We were not taken to our room when we asked about an evening meal, there was no meal available. All In all really poor. After being told I would get a phone a call, no call received. Requested a refund from ********** and they have advised no reply from the hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff but rooms a bit tired…… cosy and warm though & breakfast was pretty good. Cannot access directly from outside. Parking was okay & hotel is very centrally located. Crewkerne is a very pretty hub & we enjoyed our stay.

This time last week I was dining in fine style at the George Hotel thanks to the kindness and generosity of general manager Lisa. I was staying in Crewkerne for a couple of days and had called in the day before to ask about booking a table to eat there that night. The dining room certainly looked very comfortable and inviting! Lisa explained that due to a staffing shortage she couldn’t open the kitchen that night, but she kindly offered me a table for the following night ( last Thursday September 26th) and showed me the menu, which offered a variety of delicious and more than reasonably priced dishes. I had no hesitation in choosing lamb shank there and then! On arrival Lisa ( and was it Jake behind the bar? ) told me it would just be me in the dining room that night, and she went out of her way to give me the VIP dining experience you’re lucky to enjoy once in a blue moon! Lisa cooked the meal for me herself and it was absolutely delicious. She was also the friendliest dining companion! Lisa you’re a star. Thanks so much for all the trouble you took in looking after this solo traveller. If this is the standard of service guests at the George Hotel can expect I will have no hesitation in staying there on a future visit to Crewkerne.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal last night. 5 family members and we all had a different meal. The food was delicious and service was great. Clean plates all round. Definitely will return and recommend. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very reasonable prices.

We had a family meal at the George on Saturday evening. The food was excellent and Jake went above and beyond to ensure special diets were catered for. (Gluten free and dairy free) We will definitely be returning for more get togethers in the future.

Arrived early evening and asked for a room nothing was too much trouble had us settled in a lovely room in no time . Staff are so friendly and welcoming service was 100% . After spending the evening in the bar we went to bed I can honestly say had the best nights sleep so comfortable crisp clean room , beautiful soft towels amazing hot shower. Came down to a lovely warm welcome for breakfast and the breakfast was amazing we left very full and very happy. We will definitely be back . Wendy & Eugene

Travelled down from Nottinghamshire for a funeral. The rooms were spotless I stayed with my sister and niece. My room had a four poster bed which was so comfortable the sheets and towels smelt amazing. Breakfast was good, staff really friendly. What more can you ask for. Thank you

We had a fantastic welcome for our stay at the George Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a great atmosphere in the bar with the Six Nations attracting attention which we took full advantage of. The locals made us feel very welcome. An unusual layout with the Pub/Bar and Restaurant one side of the courtyard and the hotel the other, but it works!!! The staff were welcoming and really helpful. We were visiting for a big family party and had cakes and sandwiches which they allowed us to put in their walk in fridge. The room was extremely comfortable, characterful, spacious and warm. Everything was really clean and the bed was extremely comfortable and well made which is one of my bugbears!! . We had a great night sleep. The breakfast was ample and freshly cooked with options for cereal etc beforehand, with veggie options for those who wanted. I was even allowed to have some extra toast! Would highly recommend.
