I have stayed at the Village Hotel Coventry numerous times due to its convenient location for my work. However, I must express my growing disappointment with the declining standards at this hotel. My recent stays have left much to be desired, and I am now seriously considering other options. Room Conditions - The rooms are in dire need of an update. They appear tired and shabby, with poor lighting that makes the atmosphere quite gloomy. The cleanliness is subpar, and there is no air conditioning, which makes the rooms uncomfortable, especially during warmer months. Service Quality - The service has deteriorated significantly. Ordering food has become a frustrating experience, with wait times exceeding an hour and a half, often without any communication or advance warning. This lack of efficiency and customer care is unacceptable. Self-Service Check-In - The self-service check-in system is a complete failure. During my most recent stay, I arrived at 8 PM and tried to order food via the app for room service, only to find the app was not working. Attempts to get help through the chat bot were futile as there was no response. It’s perplexing to have these systems in place if they do not function properly. Overall, the decline in standards at Village Hotel Coventry is disappointing. Unless improvements are made soon, I will be looking for alternative accommodations for my future stays in Coventry.
