The Throckmorton

Had a lovely couple of days here - staff are very friendly. Room great - comfy bed. Weather was great so enjoyed a drink before dinner overlooking the countryside. Food smashing. We went to the transport museum at Wythall - great place - again lovely people there. We came from Essex and don't really know the area but were very impressed. The town of Alcester looked gorgeous- wanted to have an explore but ran out of time - a good excuse to come back to The Throckmortan again! Also went to the NT House and gardens just across the road - history relating to the Gunpowder Plot and Guy Fawkes - very interesting. A great stay!

Very comfortable room The only problem: the room was very cold and took a long time to warm up, which is very unpleasant for me as I'm very sensitive to cold. Perhaps you could warm up the rooms you rent at least 2 hours before your guests arrive ? But your English breakfast was awesome ! Thanks a lot however for your charming welcome. The bed was comfortable and the room was tastefully decorated. We stayed twice in one week. On both occasions the evening meal was delicious and the breakfasts were extremely good. Plenty of free parking. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Went for breakfast, unless managers are nearby the staff really don’t care.. which is fine as we won’t be going back. Over priced. Both food and drinks Depends what chef is on as to how good the food is. This place is overdue an inspection. I do not recommend

Great stay on business prior to having a meeting in Birmingham the following day. Great food, real ales and very good and friendly service. Good WiFi and ample free parking. Comfortable and very clean room. Lots of choice for breakfast too. Highly recommended

I stayed in The Throckmorton hotel, the experience was outstanding on all their areas. The room was comfortable, mattress, batch and desk. Restaurant serve very flavour and elaborated food, and pub has a great variety of drinks, wine, beer, spirits. The attention of the personnel is really kind since the first moment I got in.

This was an annual visit to the area that we have been making for too many years to own up to. We have stayed at the Throckmorton many times and have never been disappointed. This trip was no different. Still there are lovely and competent staff. Still the bedroom was immaculate and the facilities in the room excellent. The evening meal on Friday was good value, well paced, and of good quality. The two breakfasts were both very good, with a lot of choice to match different appetites. The beer was in excellent condition and the barmaid didn't bat an eyelid at my unusual request for a nightcap of a Baileys topped up with milk in a long glass. We will be back next year.

Lovely welcome, as I come here monthly for work, but I've had this welcome from the first stay. A lovely place, with fantastic views even though it's on a really busy road, it always feels calm and relaxing. Lovely rooms, with everything I need, and great food.

We received a warm welcome, the room was clean and tidy and were upgraded from a small to a deluxe kingsize room at no extra cost. Although the hotel is on a main road it was not noisy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again when we're in the area. Breakfast was very good. Thankyou.
