My husband stays here for business trips and I was there to visit and check out Corpus Christi. The positives —- very nice staff in all areas (front desk, breakfast area, bar, cleaning), excellent location along shoreline, good air conditioning, quiet rooms and hallways, breakfast included with hot and cold options, decent breakfast area, very nice pool area. The negatives —— lack of/no towels at the pool despite several requests to front desk, VERY infrequent room cleaning (seems to be once a week only unless you complain or ask so of course towels don’t get changed and beds don’t get made), poor cleaning (dried soap all over bathroom counter, backsplash and wall), carpets feel grimy (there are dogs all over hotel so bound to be animal dirt and fluids ground in everywhere), strange assortment of dishes (one wine glass, one coffee cup), extremely poor lighting everywhere in the room (impossible to do your makeup unless standing beside an open window during full daylight). Marriott hotels have the potential to be great hotels, but shabby rooms and substandard cleaning practices greatly downgrade the quality and customer satisfaction.
