"Wir zahlen $1300 für 2 Nächte in einem Königsbettzimmer mit Balkon, aber bei der Ankunft wurde eine Grundstückseinheit, dunkel mit kleiner Patio unter dem 2. Stock Balkon - auf besetzten Spaziergang mit vielen Familien, die durchfahren, ins Gesicht, machen Lärm, etc. Ich bat den Concierge und einen Zimmeragenten, sich zu ändern, aber es wurde ihnen gesagt, keine Balkon-König verfügbar. Schließlich fand ich einen wunderbaren Zimmeragent, der den Zimmertyp gefunden, den wir VERmutet haben. Wir sollten nicht durch all diese Mühe gelangen, um den Zimmertyp zu bekommen, den wir ursprünglich reserviert hatten! Dann fanden wir auf der Checkout eine Zimmergebühr im Hotelrestaurant, die nicht unsere war. Wieder einmal musste man viele Anrufe machen, um die Menschen davon zu überzeugen, dass wir nicht die Gebühr gemacht haben. Zusammenfassend: Das Hotel ist schön, historische und malerisch. Es ist jedoch teuer ($600+ Zimmer, $59/day Parkplatz, preiswerte Mahlzeiten, etc.) und Wasser am Strand ist wegen der Verschmutzung nicht sicher. Wir gehen zurück nach Coronado, aber planen, in einem anderen Hotel zu bleiben."

"It was already past 1am when we drove from the airport to the hotel. The navigation took us to the back door of the hotel. We didn't know how to check in because we needed a card to get in. We drove around and around until we finally saw a staff member coming out. We realized that it was the back door and we had to go around to the front door. After checking in, we went to the room and found that the window of the room faced a wall, which meant there was no view. It was really not worth the rent. Fortunately, I communicated with the front desk the next day and they included breakfast for the next day as compensation."

"The hotel's arrangements were truly inadequate. I booked two rooms, and I called three times using a local US phone number, hoping to be assigned connecting or adjacent rooms. Twice no one answered, and once I was told to wait for another colleague, which took over five minutes. When I checked in, I was told the two rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel! I spoke with the staff at Trip.com, who were excellent, responsive, and helpful in negotiating with the hotel. However, the hotel's procedures were bureaucratic and inflexible, requiring multiple levels of reporting to higher management, so I decided not to pursue the matter further. The hotel rooms were rather old, and the soundproofing was slightly lacking; otherwise, everything was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, with a private path leading to the beach, and the food and drinks are of high quality with stunning views!"
