Cromwell Manor Inn

Even though the place is well located in the Hudson Valley, it is not as shown online. The rooms are dirty and their condition is shabby. The Inn Manager is friendly and provided tasty breakfasts but housekeeping is not up to normal standards. The owner asked for the opportunity to hear from customers who didn’t have a “perfect stay” and said he’d communicate with the manager and housekeeping.

Do not stay here. The only redeeming quality about this place is Troy. The Main House is filthy, the kitchen is filthy. Continental breakfast in the morning consisted of white bread, old everything bagels and Frosted Flakes. Troy appears to be the only person managing both buildings.

We stayed at The Cromwell Manor Inn for 2 nights. The bathroom was not clean. We had to stop for some Clorox wipes to clean the floor as it was covered with other people's hair. In addition, there was some sort of porous mat on the floor of the tub. It was dirty and covered with hair. It was gross. I had to remove it with gloves and put it in a trash bag. It was disappointing as we were expecting a nice, clean room.

Cromwell Manor Inn was a perfect setting for our 33rd anniversary. Communication in booking and prior to arrival was excellent. Upon Arrival , Troy, The Inn Keeper , was HAPPY to see us and showed us everything we needed for our stay. Room was Period perfect. Fireplace , antique vibe, very clean and the bathroom roomy. ( Weston). Though the Inn has many rooms and it was full capacity, it was extremely quiet. Breakfast is 8AM-11AM with both a continental and MADE TO ORDER hot breakfast varying each day. Enjoy in the large gathering room or outside on the patio with a view. All commons areas, patio and the large lawn overlooking Storm King perfect for happy hour, wine , cheese crackers, chill out. Close to many activities and restaurants . 3 minutes to Storm King Arts Center, Cornwall, 15 minutes to Newburgh and 20 to Beacon. Great Location. Many guests tied to events at West Point. IF having a show playing during your stay, get to VETREP Theatre in Cornwall. Advance tix required. Troy and CMI made our anniversary weekend just perfect.

I went on this trip with my 2 kids while my husband was away and it was wonderful! The kids ran around and enjoyed every minute of it! The view was amazing and the staff were great! Their breakfast was not buffet style and made to order. They were very accommodating even while my kids asked for numerous cups of juice even after they put it away! Will definitely be a go to spot for me and my family when we need a quick getaway from the city! Glad we found this gem!

Excellent staff and the property grounds are immaculate. When I first arrived, it reminded me of Miraval Berkshires - absolute lush greenery landscape. I can easily see this property being the ideal place for weddings - the view is that mind blowing. The kids, no surprise, loved picking the dandelions and had a blast. I was surprised to find Fiji bottled water in our room too. Shower pressure was excellent as well, as I had one of the rooms on the second floor of the “1764 House” which is not part of the main building. Super friendly staff, especially Troy. Thank you for making our Woodbury Commons shopping weekend a blissful getaway. I definitely plan on returning when it’s colder to make use of their mini fire pit.

Really great country inn, well situated for easy access to Storm King Art Center. We stayed in the Canterbury Room, which was spacious, bed comfortable, and amenities very welcomed. The grounds were lovely to walk around as was the farm store next door. I would definitely stay here again -- thank you Troy for being so upbeat and available. :)

We stayed at the Cromwell Manor over 10 years ago and decided to stay here for a weekend trip away from the City. The Inn had a new manager, Troy who pays attention to detail and makes a huge effort to ensure his guests' comfort. We stayed in the 1764 House in the Beddingfield Suite. It was cold upstate, but the rooms will heated well and the suite was very clean and comfortable. It is an older house, so the floors creaked. The house is by the side of the big road, but it was not an issue. Troy made a cooked to order breakfast which was tasty and filling.

We went a little outside our norm for a corporate sales leader meeting and rented the entire Inn for our team to have our meeting and Holiday party. During the planning the owner and staff were quick to communicate and accommodate any requests. Upon arrival we received a tour of the property and each room has a special unique charm. They set up a 75" smart art/tv for our meeting presentations, provided delicious catering (breakfast, lunch and dinner). We were even able to get a breakfast favorite recipe (blueberry french toast)! The parlor was all decked out for Christmas and we had a blast playing games during our White Elephant gift exchange. The staff was on-site and always accessible and helpful. It was a very comfortable homey feeling where you could walk around without your shoes and build a different type of bond with your team than you get from the normal hotel settings. We enjoyed it so much we returned a few months later for a different sales team meeting. With new owners, they asked for feedback and by our second visit had already implemented all of our suggestions. If you've wanted to give the B&B setting a try, you should .... at least once ... and Cromwell Manor Inn is a great choice! Elan and team are great hosts!
