This place is a dump. My husband and I went there when Hurricane Beryl came through Houston and knocked out our power. The receptionist at this tiny desk was rude beyond belief. They said that I booked through a 3rd party, which I did not, and while checking on that the receptionist waited on someone else instead of completing the transaction with me. They price gouged everyone by bumping their rates from $77/night to $163/night. (I will be reporting that to the Atty Gen's office and to Click2news in Houston). We paid more because they also charge $25/night for pets. The carpet felt like slime. There was no "continental" breakfast. The maid didn't come offer fresh towels or to straighten the room. We had paid for two nights but left the second day. It was a horrible experience. One bright spot is that the beds were very comfortable. But hard to sleep due to the AC clanging all night. It's an under the window unit that controls the room temp. That's where the "upside" of the place ends. I will never go back there. Next time I'll stay at home with no power rather than go back there. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my lifetime but nothing as bad as this place. They might also note this: "During a declared state of emergency, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act makes it illegal for a business or individual to sell or lease fuel, food, medicine, lodging, building materials, construction tools, or other necessities at an exorbitant or excessive price."
