This hotel may only be a 3* but the service is most certainly 5* We made our initial reservation over the phone with Mandy. Due to unfortunate circumstances we had to amend our booking, I rang though to the hotel and by chance spoke to her again, she couldn’t have been more helpful, she was kind, caring and sympathetic of our situation. Upon check in it was great to actually meet her in person, she’s a great asset to the hotel. We had our dogs with us and had a room in the grounds which was comfortable and warm. The first night we witnessed a guest rather worse for wear causing a scene because she was refused at the bar. The receptionist and members of staff on duty handled this in a very professional manner, again a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic, we ate lunch and evening meal in the bar area, the young waiters were very polite and attentive. Thank you all for a lovely stay
