How do I begin with this disaster of an experience? We were visiting Fort Wayne for a graduation party. We stayed Thursday (6/6) and Friday (6/7). Let’s start with the lobby, it was musty and felt “damp”. When I told the lady I was there to check in, she looked confused and asked if I had a reservation. Once I told her yes, it seemed to be a challenge to program the room key. As I went towards my room, I noticed the rug. Not sure how long it has been since that has been cleaned. I chose Baymont because I’ve always known them to be of higher quality. This one was NOT! The building is older and run down and needs to be overhauled. I was extremely disappointed in my stay. To top it all off, my car was hit by another car in the parking lot. I had no idea, and I was not notified. This was the only place that my car was backed into a parking spot. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the damage until we were already home. I took pictures, and it’s not that bad, but it’s the principle. How does another human hit a car and just walk away, without notifying someone? This is when I wish them, whoever is responsible, the day they deserve! I would prefer a refund, but I seriously doubt the management/owners will even care because obviously don't care about the ongoing disrepair of their establishment. I believe the towels were either previously used or stained and needed to be replaced. The in-room coffee maker was so janky/broken, I didn’t even attempt to use it. Now for the shower. As you will see in the pictures, the drain wasn’t even attached. I was able to get the faucet on, but worried I wouldn’t be able to turn it off. The faucet was loose and didn't really work right. There was used soap on the ledge, from the previous guest, with hair all over it. I’m not sure what the attachment was on the floor of the tub, but it seemed to be covering a hole…because it did not feel stable, I felt as though I could fall through at any moment. I basically rinsed off as quickly as I could. As you will also see in the pictures…THE SMOKE DETECTOR WAS WRAPPED IN CLING WRAP. WHY? Not sure this would pass a safety inspection, and I'm just grateful there wasn't a fire! I didn’t search for a hidden camera, but probably should have. Als ich das Zimmer reservierte, bat ich um eine zugängliche Dusche, die mit dem Boden flach war. Wir hatten ein zugängliches Zimmer mit einem Tube/Dusche mit einer Stützbar. Ich habe beschlossen, es für 2 Nächte zu tun. Später in der Nacht bemerke ich, dass unser Königsbett eine Königin war. Das normale Informationsbuch, das Sie in einem Zimmer finden, existierte nicht. Ich ging zum Vorderbüro und bat um eine TV-Kanalliste. Das, das sie mir gegeben haben, war von 3 Zahlen auf jedem Kanal abgeschafft. Am nächsten Tag gingen wir aus Sicht und kamen am Nachmittag zurück, um zu sehen, dass unser Zimmer nicht von Hausbetreuung gesprochen wurde. Ich sprach mit einem Hausbetreuer im Halle und wurde gesagt, dass wir nicht auf seiner Liste waren. Er sagte auch, dass sie nicht jeden Tag Hauspflege machen, es sei denn, Sie haben es auf der Front-Desk gefragt. Das war der erste, den ich davon gehört habe. Ich sagte dem Front-Desk-Agent, dass wir frisches Badezimmer-Linen brauchen. Er sagte, er würde einen Hinweis für seine Erleichterung hinterlassen, die in 30 Minuten da sein würde. Zweieinhalb Stunden später ging ich zum Vorderbüro und die Erleichterung wusste nichts davon. Sie gab mir einige frische Handtücher, etc.

Die Lage war großartig mit Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war viel besser als erwartet. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel. Die Beschwerden waren wenig. Es gab einen hohen geräuschlosen Ring aus dem Wind im Badezimmer. Es war zufällig und nicht lange genug anwesend, um dem Personal zu berichten. Der Halle riecht während unseres Übernachtungsaufenthalts stark von *********. Wir würden trotz der geringfügigen Fragen wieder aufhalten.

Holiday Inn Express on the north side of Fort Wayne was a convenient stopping point on our recent trip. It proved to be a good choice. The hotel is about 5 years old but still feels new. The bed was wonderfully comfortable with both soft and firm pillows. The king room and bath were very clean. The room amenities were good with one exception -- the hard, uncomfortable lounge chair that is currently supplied at HIE. HIE breakfast is always plentiful and tasty -- a good start to the day. We love the signature cinnamon rolls! Lighting is good with the exception of the bathroom mirror which makes shaving challenging. Overall, we were happy with this HIE experience, and we would stop again.
