Finally - after years, they have (almost) finished the renovation and brought the hotel to Marriott standards. Only the elevators are still a WIP. As a result, the rooms are standard Marriott and pretty decent from a hard goods standpoint (although I've already had problems with the outlets not working, etc.). Now the bad news: (1) Foremost, they overbook and DO NOT guarantee your room reservation (albeit if you don't show up, they will charge you a night as a ”no show.” Our company has spent several hundred nights there and we had a new employee show up only to be told - ”sorry, we're overbooked, try the Comfort Inn across the street.” Seriously??? One, overbooking should never happen. Second, when it does, they should at least often to call a comparable hotel and often to put the person there (although see point 2 - maybe the Comfort is comparable). It's just one of many indications how bad this management company is. (2) The housekeeping is beyond bad and the front desk indifferent. On the first night, i went in to take a shower only to realize there were ZERO bath towels. I had to use a hand towel to dry off. I mentioned it to the front desk and the classic answer was ”how many towels do you need?” ONE WOULD BE NICE! I've stayed in thousands of hotel rooms in my lifetime - never had one until now that lacked a bath towel. Further, the room was not cleaned. I noticed in the shower there were extremely long hairs on the shower wall - clearly not mine. I could go on - don't bother complaining, management will write some note that they will address whatever the problem du jour is and they won't. This management company is sub-par and below Marriott standards. Unfortunately, there is not much competition in the area, but recommend looking elsewhere. I know our Company is going to discuss moving elsewhere due to the continued problems (this was just the most recent visit).

Als Mitglied des Goldenen Bonvoy versuche ich, so weit wie möglich in Marriott Eigenschaften zu bleiben. Da ich am nächsten Morgen einen frühen Flug aus PIT hatte, habe ich dieses Hotel gewählt, um zu bleiben. Aufgrund einer Verletzung, die ich vor dem Einchecken erhalten habe, habe ich den Front Desk gebeten, sie zu fragen, ob sie mich entweder für einen näheren Lobbyraum oder für eine Person mit Behinderungen zu bestellen. Sie konnten mir die Menschen mit Behinderungen Zimmer, Zimmer 155 geben, die einen Spaziergang in der Dusche hatte. Die Wassertemperatur war gut, und zum größten Teil war das Zimmer eine komfortable Temperatur. Die Betten waren komfortable, und alles funktionierte gut. Sie hatte ein HUGE Einstellungsproblem, erkannte mich nie als Gold Bonvoy-Mitglied an, und als ich später aufforderte, den Namen des nahe gelegenen Pizzaplatzes zu erhalten, schien sie die Gespräche mit einer Schneid-Einstellung zu beschleunigen. Vor der Einreichung einer förmlichen Beschwerde beim Bonvoy Kundenservice hatte meine Verlobte die Geschäftskarte des Hotelmanagers erhalten. Ich habe mit dem Assistenten Manager Andreal per E-Mail gesprochen, und er hat mich für die Probleme mit Dianne ausgeglichen und sagte, er würde sich um die Probleme kümmern, die ich mit Dianne hatte. Würde ich noch einmal dort bleiben? Wahrscheinlich, aber nicht, wenn Dianne am Frontdesk arbeitet.

Der Service ist sehr gut, andere sind allgemein. Weil der Service sehr gut ist, ist es einen besonderen Kommentar wert. Frühstück ist kostenlos, einfacher, das Frühstück im US-Hotel ist fast tausendmal. Am Abendessen des Hotels wählen Sie das Essen im ersten Stock des Hotels. Ich habe mich nicht mehr bezahlen lassen, ich habe gestern Abend ein Abendessen vorgeschlagen. Die Unterschrift ist noch nicht abgeschlossen. Erinnern Sie die Rezeption daran, nicht zu vergessen. Als Ergebnis wartete er ein paar Minuten, fand er meine Rechnung, er sagte mir, dass diese Liste kostenlos ist. Was den Grund betrifft, warum kostenlos, habe ich nicht klargestellt, dass ich unerwünschte kostenloses Abendessen erhalten habe, es war eine wirkliche Überraschung, besonders zu loben.

Using the Park and Fly option, we spent the night here after returning from trip to Ireland. Picked up promptly by personable Globe shuttle driver. Check in was easy and desk staff friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and has obviously undergone recent upgrading: everything was clean and comfortable. Appreciate the trend to have tiled floors rather than carpet and also the shampoo/condition/shower gel dispensers rather than the little bottles. USB ports and plenty of outlets. Coffee/tea, micro fridge, responsive AC, light block drapes. Good quality bed linens and towels (four sets). Lobby and hall areas clean, well-lighted. Breakfast included waffles, little cinnamon rolls, good bagels, yogurt, hot/cold cereals, juices - all the basics. Value for what we received was very good. It'll be where we stay next trip out.

Das Zimmer war schön und sauber, die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück bei 4am war besonders schön der Kaffee. Shuttleservice rechtzeitig zum Flughafen. Es ist wert, hier die Nacht zu bleiben, wenn Sie einen frühen Morgenflug haben, nimmt den Stress aus dem Fahren auf 3am

Das Frontdesk war großartig! Ich war 1 Nacht auf dem Weg zum Flughafen Pittsburgh auf dem Weg zu einem Shuttle. Als das Frontdesk herausfand, dass ich um 10:30 Uhr auscheckte und den 11:30AM Shuttle für einen frühen Abendflug nehmen wollte, er gab mir eine späte Check-out. Das extra zwei Stunden bedeutete, dass ich für einen extra zwei Stunden TV und ein privates Badezimmer hatte! Das Zimmer war für den Wert fest; es hatte eine Mikrowelle und ein kleines Kühlschrank.

I have had the pleasure to stay at this hotel many times in recent years, and it has become my favorite location in the area. The prime draw is the staff, which is almost universally fantastic, and laser-focused on providing exceptional and friendly service. While the hotel isn't new, they are updating the property, and the new features look great. The rooms are well designed and well maintained, though the HVAC units can sometimes show their age. That's one area where I hope the refurbishment continues and basically why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. The bathrooms are very nice though, and the TVs are large and updated. The restaurant/bar is very good, with friendly servers/bartenders and surprisingly good food. Prices are VERY reasonable for the most part -- you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal than the cheeseburger. The hotel is well located and fairly quiet apart from air traffic (which isn't bad -- PIT is not a buzzing hub most of the time). The hotel is offset from the road, and across that road is a massive high/middle school complex. There are several food options along University Blvd, or you can head down the road to the Robinson/North Fayette areas where there are MANY options for food and shopping. You can definitely do worse in this area for hotels, but it's difficult to find something better.
