The guest room was in great shape, but what stood out was the breakfast service and especially Helen. She was incredibly helpful, communicative, friendly and worked very hard to make everyone feel welcome. On Sunday morning the crew were down a staff member and Helen and her colleague were running all around to keep everyone satisfied in a very busy morning breakfast. Thank you.

I understand that the property had been renovated. The room looked okay, I found dried crusty blood stains on the bedsheets. The room walls are thin, needless to say everyone screaming at each other in the room next door (probably high on **** and alcohol) at 1 am in the morning is my nightly entertainment? Only 2 sets of towels and this new eco-friendly policy means you don't get any new towels unless you ask and then nobody shows up. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken, I had to flush the toilet a couple of times for it to work. The shower is nice and spacious. The cleaning crew must have been understaffed, because there was mold in between the shower tiles. There is no functioning ventilation in the bathroom. The air conditioning, when and if it works, is super loud. Upon arrival it was set to 72, I tried changing it to 68, but it jumped back to 72. TV was working, unlike the remote, some keys were just dead. The room smelled musty. No microwave, the fridge was not cooling either. I thought maybe the ice machine on the 5th floor could cool my water down a little. Come to find out that the ice machine wasn't working and from the looks of it, it never has! Also, the ice machine room looks like World War 2 has left its mark. The ceiling is about to fall down and it's dirty. The hallway has nice carpet but again, the cleaning crew might not be fully staffed and dirty fries were left all over the hallway (5th floor). I see that the hotel has a non-smoking policy. This may apparently only apply to cigarettes. Floor 5 and 12 reek of ********* so badly, it creeps into the rooms and makes a good night sleep close to impossible. It's not a whiff you get from someone who has recently smoked walking by, it comes from the rooms. It is utterly disgusting and Hilton should be ashamed. The staff at the front desk is jaded and rude, I'd be too if I had to deal with what's coming through that hotel. Breakfast doesn't open until 7am which didn't work for us because we came for a business trip and had to leave the hotel by 7am. Also, breakfast is not included in the $700 for 2 nights. Instead you choose from 3 or 4 overpriced omelets from a menu. $40 for 2 mini omelets and a cup of coffee. It didn't taste too bad but that price is not justified. Also, the breakfast room is way too dark. I could barely see the food in front of me. Parking is an insult to be honest. Philly is not a safe city and for $700 for 2 nights I would have expected parking at the hotel or at least covered parking that is being monitored at no extra charge. Instead, you can drive 1500 yards down the road to an open parking lot that will cost you $13 a night ($15 if you use a valet). It is not monitored, no security and any random person can walk in there and wreak havoc. Shameful. Overall, not a Hilton experience, for the price I paid I would have expected service which I didn't get. Never again and I am hoping other Hilton properties aren't so shameful.

Mein Mann und ich wollten irgendwo in Philly bleiben, die Frühstück und kostenlose Parkplätze hatte. Wir haben den Jackpot getroffen, als wir das Manayunk Zimmer Guest House gefunden. Es hat die Boxen für beide Anforderungen geprüft, aber es war *so viel mehr*. Mark, das ”Gesicht” der B&B und Neal, ein mehr ”hinter den Szenen” Betreiber, sind warme, freundliche Menschen, die eine wunderbare Mischung aus moderner Savvy und alter Welt-Krieg. Wir kamen am Ende einer 1,000-plus-mile Straßenreise und ich wurde ausgeräumt! Daher erhitzte es mein Herz, dass beide, zu verschiedenen Momenten, angeboten, meine Tasche auf/unter die Treppe zu tragen. Wir genossen auch lebendige Gespräche mit jedem von ihnen. Spaß! Als wir das Zimmer reserviert haben, fragten wir, ob es irgendwelche Rabatte wie AAA oder Senioren gab. Mark bietet keine Perks wie eine Regel, aber ein Blick auf seinen Kalender erlaubte ihm, uns 10% zu entziehen. Zu unserem Vergnügen, als wir angemeldet wurden, bot er uns eine Upgrade ohne zusätzliche Gebühr. Was für ein Mensch! Wir reservierten die Parisienne Suite, aber mit der Upgrade endete die Stadt Suite, die war wunderbar. Das Bett war so komfortabel, ich habe es fast nicht zum Parlor heruntergefahren, um die große Auswahl von Wein/Bier/Soda und Snacks teilzunehmen. Aber ich konnte diese Gelegenheit nicht übergehen ... Auch sollte niemand, der dort bleibt. Es ist gründlich entspannt und ruhig. Vor einer Nacht nannte ich mich lang in der Schaumschlauch, die jede Spannung entfernt, die möglicherweise verlassen worden war. Nach einem Schlummern begann mein Tag mit vielleicht der lustigste Dusche, die ich je gehabt habe. Ich kann nicht lügen sagen. Ich war wie ein kleines Kind, das die Einstellungen änderte, um Wasser aus verschiedenen Spucken zu machen. Es war eine Tonne Spaß und ich hätte gerne mit mir die Dusche nach Hause nehmen wollen, aber es passte nicht in meinem Gepäck ... ;-) Frühstückpeach Crepes mit Joghurt, Obst und Granola; Cappuccino und ein Korb von Hausgemüsewar künstlich präsentiert, gesund und lecker. Besser als das? In der Tat, es tut es, weil das Gespräch mit Mark und seinen anderen Gästen auch völlig engagiert war. Und mit seinen unabhängigen Geschäften und Restaurants, Manayunk ist ein wunderschöner Bereich mit etwas für alle. Von Anfang an bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthalts im Manayunk Chambers Guest House war ein Salbe für Körper und Geist. Vielen Dank, Mark und Neal. Wir können nicht warten, bis wieder zurückkommen.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you have a car and don’t want to worry about parking. Parking does cost $14 a day however. It’s conveniently located next to a Target and their is a supermarket about a 5 min drive away. The gym facilities were very nice. If you want to use the pool you have to reserve an hour time slot. There’s no complimentary breakfast but there were granola bars to grab as snacks. Overall I enjoyed my stay
