Zu Beginn gleich eines vorweg: Die Erwartungen an eine Unterkunft richten sich stets deren Kosten! Wir hatten eine Lagoon-Prestige-Strandvilla über ein Internetportal gebucht (wird derzeit nicht mehr so angeboten). Sehr verwundert hat uns, dass die selbe Zimmerkategorie auf anderen Portalen ungefähr das 3-fache gekostet hat. Die äußerst unterschiedlichen Bewertungen des Resorts führe ich daher in erster Linie auf die unterschiedlichen Preise zurück, schließlich erwartet man sich zB. von einem Zimmer um € 500,- pro Nacht nicht so viel als wenn das selbe Zimmer € 1.500,- kosten würde. Nach einer Nacht in der gebuchten Kategorie haben wir aber auf eine Villa mit privatem Pool upgegradet. Ebenso haben wir von Halbpension auf all-inclusive aufgezahlt. Beide Upgrades im Preis ok, auch im Vergleich zu anderen Resorts. Während unseres Aufenthalts wurden sehr viele Villen saniert, von den ca. max. möglichen 350 Gästen waren nur ca. 60 anwesend. Dadurch hatte man, insbesondere an den Stränden, den Eindruck, dass man alleine auf der Insel wäre, obwohl Kihaa eher zu den kleinen Insel zählt. Die sehr geräumigen Villen - teilweise bereits renoviert - verteilen sich recht großzügig, ebenso ist der Abstand zu den Nachbarvillen ok. Das Außenbad ist im Vergleich zu anderen Inseln eher klein, wenngleich auch absolut ausreichend. Insbesondere im Bad hätte man aber die Renovierung professioneller durchführen können. Insbesondere der private Pool, genügend Liegemöglichkeiten inkl. Auflagen usw. machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Die schlechten Kritiken bzgl. Personal/Servie/Restaurant usw. können wir in keiner Weise nachvollziehen. Unser Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt, zusätzlich erfolgte ein turn-down-service. Die Minibar wurde aufgefüllt, ausreichend Badetücher zur Verfügung gestellt. Vor allem aber: hatte man irgendein Problem, wurde das umgehend (!) behoben. Hier möchte ich ganz besonders Noble, unseren ”Butler”, welcher für ein paar Villen zuständig ist, hervorheben. Er hat uns während des gesamten Aufenthalts, beginnend vom Inlandsflughafen bei Ankunft bis zum Wasserflieger bei Abreise begleitet (Transfer, check-in, Unterkunft, upgrade, Ausflüge, Wünsche,...). Wir hatten seine WhatsApp-Nummer und konnten ihn jederzeit kontaktieren. Es erleichtert vieles, wenn man eine spezielle Ansprechperson hat. Noble war in seiner Art sehr zurückhaltend, in keiner Weise aufdringlich. Dennoch konnten wir uns mit allen Fragen und Wünschen an ihn wenden und er hat immer sein Möglichstes gegeben. Mitunter hat er auch das scheinbar Unmögliche möglich gemacht. Thank you so much Noble! So stellt man sich einen ”Butler” vor. Ähnliches gilt grundsätzlich für das gesamte (!) Personal. Im Vergleich zu den großen unpersönlichen Resorts wird hier der persönliche Kontakt zum Gast großgeschrieben. Sei es der Kellner, der Koch, der Barkeeper, das Reinigungspersonal. Despite having to cut our trip shortly due to a family bereavement, we had 3 incredible and unforgettable days at Kiha. Starting with the pick up from the airport in a small golf cart, first time for everything, every member of staff went out of their way to make our trip, including the reception staff, the excursions organiser and the staff at meal times. This has the feel of being a small, family run hotel, where they really care. The food was excellent but not the gluttony fest of other larger hotels and resorts. The rooms are clean and modern, the beach is running and quiet and the pool is a bonus. The trips to Hanifaru are obviously a highlight, we packed in 3 trips in 3 days along with a bonus night time swim with Whale Sharks. Note, the trips are about one fifth the price of exactly the same trip on the private islands ! Finally, faced with the need to cut short our trip, change our flights and get to Male ASAP, the team did everything to help. All in all, we loved our stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks to all !!!

From June 27 to July 12… our first stay here and we are already thinking of booking again for February 2025 as we had such a perfect stay. The hotel very kindly arranged our internal flights from Male to Dharavandoo which we paid for about a week before our arrival. This is very useful because booking directly with Manta Air or one of the other operators costs significantly more. Once we arrived, a hotel staff member was at the local airport to greet us and take us on a short (five-minute) ride to the hotel by golf cart with our luggage. There are around 12 rooms which are all lovely - the beach rooms are a little simpler (but still perfectly acceptable), the luxury rooms are ideal and very well furnished. We had a beach room and our daughters the Deluxe room. Both had excellent air conditioning for very humid nights. The staff could not be faulted, as it is a small hotel, everyone was recognizable and extremely helpful in every sense of the word. The food was excellent, fish, pasta, chicken and much more. As there are only a limited number of people, the food is served directly or as a small buffet and was always hot as it was not left standing for hours as is often found. Prices were very reasonable if you ordered additional meals which were not part of your package and tea and coffee were free and soft drinks very reasonable. The dining and reception areas are perfectly clean and tidy. The bikini beach is about 20 meters from the rooms where there are sun loungers and towels or yoga mats are free from the hotel. In the garden you will find seating and tables for outside dining if you wish. Just ask and a table will be set for you and food will be brought to your table (no charge for eating out). There were rarely more than 10 people using the beach and deck chairs when we were there, so we had a lot of the beach to ourselves most of the time. The lagoon near the beach is shallow and suitable for children taking their first steps in snorkeling. Those with a little more experience can head to the reef just beyond the lagoon and see a much greater variety of fish and maybe even a passing turtle if you're lucky. If you don't have any equipment, just talk to the hotel. The LVIS Blancura is about a 4-5-minute walk along the beach to the harbor and the town itself, where you'll find a variety of shops from gift shops to a well-stocked supermarket and a pharmacy if you need one. you need. All of these products are very reasonably priced (around $1 for a chocolate bar if that helps). There is also a hospital on the island – but I hope it will not be necessary. There are about five or six cafés and restaurants (plus the guest houses and hotels where you can also eat). Overall we were delighted with our stay at the LVIS Blancura and have no hesitation in recommending them for singles, families or couples. As mentioned we will be booking again for 2025.

First of all let me say this Beautiful architecture is mind blowing. The rooms are at its very best shape and well equipped, The idea of the garden with a swing and those beautiful cushion beds are awesome. The restaurant is designed and equipped very beautifully. I must say the chef Upul cook the food with much love as the food is so tasty, Me and my team loved the food throughout our stay. Mr. Axum the man behind all the service, is a very professional guy and he is always smiling, he is the heart of the guest house i should put it that way as he is there all the time on top of everything ensuring the needs are beyond the expectation. Please dont forget to drinks his own ideal mocktails as it looks and taste great. Laundry service is very good as we get it the same day and it done neatly in professional manner. Definitely there will be more visits from us in the future as we are in love with the place.
