As we booked this last minute break at a real bargain, only 6 days before we actually flew, we weren’t expecting the standard of holiday that we actually experienced. We were made aware of the building work to the front of the hotel, our room was at the back and we spent every day out sightseeing or at the beach so were totally unaffected by it. The location is perfect, close to the restaurants & bars, bus stops and mini-markets in a gorgeous little bay. Our room (303) had everything we needed, great a/c, powerful shower, fridge, tea/coffee, kettle etc. It was kept exceptionally clean with regular towel & bedding changes. The breakfast was brilliant, freshly made cooked breakfast, plenty of choice of cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruits & cereals. Overall the accommodation was fabulous. All the staff were hardworking, professional and very friendly. Anais & Jency were adorable, neither of them could do enough for us and always greeted us with their gorgeous smiles. Gozo is a wonderful little island with so much to do and see, we would thoroughly recommend this b&b as a base for a great holiday. We intend to return, as a week was not long enough to enjoy it all.

Ein familiengeführtes Guesthouse mit gut einem Duzend Zimmern und einer Dachterrasse, sehr zentral gelegen. Die Zimmer sind authentisch und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Das Frühstück konnte covidbedingt nicht als Buffet genutzt werden; die Auswahl war aber beeindruckend. Täglich frisch gebackene Kuchen! Selbstgemachtes Joghurt und -wo möglich- Rücksicht auf Allergien. Frischen Fruchtsalat und Eierspeisen noch obendrauf. Was mich störte: Unser Zimmer lag im 1. Stock, genau über der Füllstation einer Tauchbasis. Weniger der Lärm war das Problem, eher die Abgase des Dieselkompressors, welche teilweise frühmorgens ins Zimmer wehten. Der Türschliessmechanismus ist hart eingestellt, dies führt zu lautem Türschliessen.

Beste Service, die ich je hatte, in einem Hotel - repariert mein Computer, wandte mich zum Armee ist Busstops, Personal immer verfügbar, um Fragen zu beantworten. Große Frühstück in der Nähe von Geschäften, Restaurants, Transport, Ozean. Es war eine schreckliche Wahl, zu bleiben, sowie unspottbare, starke Wasser und sie haben mir sogar ein upgraded Zimmer.

Einfach nur ein traumhaftes Hotel. Der Ausblick ist sehr gut und man ist in Kürze überall, da das Hotel sehr gut liegt. Sehr gutes Essen und leckere Drinks. Die Sunsetbar befindet sich auf dem Dach und das ist äußerst entspannend. Etwas auf das ich sehr viel Wert lege, ist die Hygiene und diese ist vollkommen gewährleistet. Kann ich nur empfehlen. (Auch mit Familie ein Traum)

Hier ist ein Vorschlag für deine Bewertung des Cornucopia Hotels auf Gozo: ”Das Cornucopia Hotel ist ein wunderschönes, historisches Gebäude, das perfekt zur Atmosphäre von Gozo passt. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und einige Mitarbeitende sorgen sogar mit einem fast familiären Umgang für Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Das WLAN funktioniert sehr gut, und die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für Ausflüge und Abendaktivitäten. Die Zimmer sind mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet, was bei den Außentemperaturen hilfreich ist. Besonders das Barbecue am Freitagabend mit Live-Musik ist ein Highlight. Dafür ist das Frühstück nicht sehr abwechselungsreich aber dennoch qualitativ gut. Absolut empfehlenswertes Hotel!”

This hotel is located in a quiet part of the village close to a small church and within walking distance of the centre. It’s modern in style and quite clean. The only disappointing elements of our stay was the lack of insulation between the rooms, making them noisy if someone checks in the middle of the night, and the breakfast. The service at breakfast was abysmal. Guests had to wait half an hour for fried eggs and baked beans. The toaster is not fit for purpose and creates unnecessary queues in an already stuffy room. They only serve ultra processed sliced bread which is a pity considering the lovely bread Gozo bakers could produce for this hotel. The fruit options could be so much better, whole apples and oranges are simply not enough, a plate of sliced fruit would have made the offering so much better for conscious eaters. The mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable, they need mattress toppers badly. On a positive note, the staff are really nice and welcoming.

Nachdem wir uns mit dem etwas gewöhnungsbedürftigen Zugang zum Hotel arrangiert haben (man muss durch ein kleines Einkaufszentrum in den 4. bzw. 5. Stock des Gebäudes), hat uns das The Duke sehr gut gefallen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, sowohl in der Rezeption, als auch beim Frühstück. Das Frühstück wurde serviert und war super gut, mit einer sehr großen Auswahl an Speisen (frisch zubereitet und lecker). Das Zimmer war sauber und schön ausgestattet, das Bett herrlich bequem. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut. Von uns alle 4 Daumen rauf.
